What is the purpose of this membership?
The wines can be purchased cheaper, even with the 15% off.

Like any other wine club, the purpose is to receive offers for wine to be delivered to your door? Shipping is reliable and the boxes are sturdy. FF points are a bonus for those who use them (epiQure bonus offers netted me over 20k FF points last year). I wouldn't pay for the membership but they're certainly a cut above Virgin/Angel/Naked wines etc

As for price, they can often be cheaper elsewhere, but I've found some are below retail on occasion (e.g. Yering Station Shiraz Viognier). As with anything, it pays to shop around.

      • How much did you spend to net "over 20k FF points"?

        • Get a bonus 2,000 points when you've purchased your first dozen.
Get a bonus 8,000 points when you've purchased your fourth dozen.
Double points promotions - Earn 6 points for every dollar spent.

        • ^ that, it was somewhere in the order of $800 spend (not consumed by me, most of it was for a function)

    • The events. I'm going to the penfolds release lunch at Rockpool. Paying just $200 and I will get hammered on some fine wines and meet Neil Perry.

    • Seppelt Moyston Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 => 6 bottles = $96.84 delivered (includes 15% off)
Can't see too many places where you can get it cheaper than that. Good drop too.

Shame they don't do cask wine. Might have got a +ve rather than a narky comment from others then……

  • thanks op :)

looking forward to some nice wines, I always stress about which ones to choose so this is great stuff

With the 15% off, this seems like a good deal:

Some/many of the prices are not remarkable and can be equaled/bettered elsewhere, but a few of the deals are unbeatable after the 15% off.
I've jumped on two offers this week that will not be beaten elsewhere and I spend a lot of time looking for wine deals every day.

  • how long does it take them to deliver. There's one I have my beady eye on but I don't want it until at least a week from now. Is that doable?

I misread this. I thought it was a freebie for QF points. Note this is a waiver of 13,000 points required (or $99) to join the program.

Just a heads up for those chasing free points…:)

Just one great example for all those doubters out there

Won't beat this price even before the 15% off! A great case of wine.

    • ozbargained?

    • Thanks for the heads up, just got a case.

      • no worries :) wish i could afford another!

  • So, after a year - if you like it - you have to fork over $99 or points to continue being a member? Can you let it expire and then rejoin next time there's a free membership offer?

Oh, and when you buy a dozen bottles - are they tiny, made of plastic, and come with a packet of nuts? Just joking… <grin>

  • is the price on the website the price AFTER the 15% off??? or do we need to add another code??

  • sorry got it- too much wine last night…and free shipping too??? awesome deal OP- thanks!!

  • I've joined…but can't see how to get an extra 15 percent off.. Can someone help please!

    • maybe you need to use the second code above CANWC15 on the order

      • Nope tried that… wouldn't accept it. DOH….

        just retried and it works!!!

  • thats right! stop drinking!

  • oh and FYI i often have chrome issues with qantas epicure page so try another browser if that's the case or work out the issued i can't be stuffed :P

    • chrome works fine for me

  • damn can net some alright points for little outlay when you include the 2,000 bonus points for first dozen
