  • Awesome, thank you!.

  • None of the three you mention appear on the website: http://shop.target.com.au/toys?order=cat,brand-0&brand-0=ner…

Also the super soaker shot blast is sold out.

  • +3

Awesome, time for more guns in the house

  • It's on…

  • Website does not list the 3 models you mentioned.

Where does it say 50% off the entire Nerf range?

  • It seems to be instore only.
What's the point of linking to the Target website if it's not displayed there?

  • +1

Sorry forgot to mention in store only!

I can confirm that there was rampage Retaliator, firestrike, Strongarm and hail fire from the elite range.

  • I originally posted a photo I had taken. Don't know why it linked to website.

  • where is a cheap place to buy darts? target only has the 12 pack of elite darts

    • +1

ebay. The are knockoffs, but if anything can be cloned safely it should be foam darts. 50 glow in the dark for $10 posted

  • Big W sometimes sell the 18 Pack including 18 clip for $10 from memory.

    • -1

      than target is cheaper

  • I noiced many of the big boys are here to buy some nerds? Or they going to be for the children?

    • +5

      DEfuq?

    • I have some Nerfs. I bring them out occasionally. I seem to like the suction darts on the window more than the others (Nerf Maverick). http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Maverick_REV-6 I am what the adult words considers an adult.

    • are these nerfs for kids only? coz I doubt most of the comments here are made by 12yo.

was thinking if nerfs are comparable with airsoft.

    • nerds are 3 for $3 at woolworths?

  • +1

Obviously that's what you tell the checkout staff and your missus ;)

  • +11

  • +1

    Do they sell the Vulcan?

  • Great discount. Was waiting for another 20% off Target toy sale before I buy the new Elite AT, but now instead I bought two of them, plus a Retaliator, a Rampage and another Strongarm :)

  • +2

Plenty in Brisbane CBD. Bought 8x Strongarms for my 6year old nephew so he and his friends can play. Though I think an all out war might break out in the office first with them….

    • This! I've got after hours access to my building so I went with a handful of friends one night and we turned a meeting room literally upside down! Tables used as shields and chairs and darts flying - was awesome! Can't wait to do it again :)

  • Is this nationwide? Anyone seen any in NSW?

  • I've never owned a nerf gun in my life, but now seems like a good time to start mucking around with them. Strongarm seems to be popular? Any quick "disc vs elite darts" tips with regards to which fly further / can hit the neighbours harder?

    • +1

      Protip: no disc.

    • +1

Elites will travel faster and further than discs, but discs will stay in the air longer and bounce off walls

  • Don't forget its also clear out lines
    found reflex1x-1 for 1.95

  • -1

    Are they bb guns?

  • Thanks, bought a goose down quilt for 1/2 price!

  • wtf's a nerf?

wish jv was here so i wouldn't have to ask that question.

    • Good question.

Nerf (trademarked in capitals as NERF) is a toy brand created by Parker Brothers and currently owned by Hasbro. Most of the toys are a variety of foam-based weaponry, but there are also several different types of Nerf toys, such as balls for sports like football, basketball, and others. The most notable of the toys are the dart guns (referred to by Hasbro as "blasters") that shoot ammunition made from Nerf foam. Since many such items were released throughout the 1970s, Nerf products often feature bright neon colors and soft textures similar to the flagship Nerf ball. The slogan frequently used from the 1990s advertising until now is "It's Nerf or nothin'!".

  • Do you guys think Kmart will match this?

Target Erina (Central Coast) have AMPLE stock as of 4pm Thursday. Several copies of just about everything.

I myself bought a rampage and a strongarm. Highly recommended!

    • +1

I literally raced out of the house when I saw this deal and thought I will just grab whatever is left on the shelves…

When I got there, the shelves were full and there were wayy too many choices and I had no idea what ones to get.. So I took your advice and bought 1x Rampage and 2x Strongarms as well as 4x packs of 12 Bullets…

I haven't opened them yet but I will be ready for when the girlfriend gets home =)

Can anyone else recommend the best ones to get? I wan't large magazines and ones that shoot far/ fast??

Here is a pic of stock in Southport Park, Queensland:
      http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/74414/16504/20130523_19…

      • Hah tried to up vote you for the pic, hit neg instead; damn fingers on a tablet; will head down at lunch tomorrow!!

      • Rampage and Strongarm is probably the best choice for high rate of fire.

  • There are plenty at broadway. Just got strongarm and 2 bullet packs, but no dart board.

  • Target at Macquarie centre, north ryde, nsw have shelves overflowing!! (as of 4pm thur)

But if you look around the corner they have other brands on clearance too… even cheaper!

    • are the darts and stuff cross compatible?

  • To my surprise purchased a PS3 320gb for $189.83 from Target in Bondi Junction. Was ready to purchase 160gb for $199, but asked the lady for 320gb and requested her to check at the back and she kindly did.About a month back a guy at the counter told me its sold out. Not sure but I think they still have one more at the back.

  • Just got 2 in Westfield Doncaster vic thx

  • Target is having a lot of specials. mostly cuz they found out their inventory levels are too high. They even revised their profits down to possible loss. That why we have had so many specials from them. PS3, now NERF, next what?

  • +2

Sale includes spare bullets, disc shooters and they also make water pistols, which are all 50% off.
    Darts are 12 for $3 i think?

Sigh, I promised myself I wouldn't fall into the whole nerf thing. Somehow I've already bought two strong arm, and am probably going back for more. Supergood post OP

  • +1

Wow.target Hobart city has shelves and shelves of them. Many were already marked down to half normal price as clearance stock but when I scanned them they came up as half the clearance price. Awesome!

$50 normally? Yeah I'll take that for $13… Thank you target.

  • Just got back from Rhodes, Sydney. Rather average range there, but good levels of stock. For $50 I got Vortex Pyragon, Vortex Praxis and N-Strike Elite Alpha Trooper CS-12. Seeing as the Pyragon is usually $50, I can't complain getting the other two for free!

    • How do the disk guns compare with the dart ones as far as range, speed and accuracy go?

I got a couple N-Strike elite guns last night and wondering if I should get a couple disk guns.

      • +2

Disc guns have greater range as they float through the air, but are much slower than any other darts. Accuracy varies between guns, but they do tend to curve a bit, kind of like frisbees, but of course not to that extent.

      • +1

Yep, what Giteau said. I only got them because they were cheap. I'm really surprised that the Pyragon is normally $50. I'd be quite disappointed if I spent $50 on that. I haven't even opened the other two ones yet, but I still prefer the dart guns.

Heaps of stock at Liverpool NSW as of 4pm Friday.

Other prices not mentioned so far:

    =Dart Tag=
    - Sharpshot : $4.50
    - Snapfire 8 : $8.50
    - Speedswarm : $12

    =Elite Series=
    - Alpha Trooper CS-12 ELITE : $14.50
    - Stockade : $17
    - Hailfire : $34.50

    =Vortex Series=
    - Vortex Praxis (disc shooter) : $15
    - Proton with extra discs : $8 (I think)

These were the only guns at Liverpool NSW. Correct me if any prices are wrong.

  • Anyone have any thoughts on these ones?

    Alpha Trooper CS-12
    Stockade
    Retaliator

    • +1

Alpha Trooper > Retaliator > Stockade.

Basically Alpha trooper is a pump action blaster (with slam fire) that will achieve better rate of fire than retaliator and stockade. Retaliator I spose is good for the accessories (Stock and Foregrip) and Stockade is only good for the stock. It also happens to be the cheapest of the 3.

      • Alpha Trooper ($14.50) is actually cheaper in this sale than the Stockade ($17) :)

        • Retaliator isn't that great…
I found the Alpha trooper with the Retaliator stock = pump shotty
The stock adds weight to the back so it's more balanced on your trigger hand.
Retaliator's foregrip is also useless. Barrel extension is useful though, you can clearly see the spiral grooves in the barrel that force the darts to spin. Otherwise I guess if you take off all the accessories for the retaliator, it's a 12-dart clip nerf pistol that doesn't have slam-fire + easy to jam.
Retaliator jams all the time (you have to pull the slide all the way back with a faint click or it will jam when you slide it back forward)
I wonder why they didn't include slamfire for the retaliator?
Alpha trooper is VERY good, especially with slam-fire.
Hasn't jammed on me if used correctly.

Strongarms.. simple, cheap and effective :)

  • Some advice : The Sharpshot for only $4.50 is an absolute gun with ELITE darts. The elite darts seal perfectly into the gun and ranges are amazing for a stock nerf gun.

  • Thanks for letting me know, what a great deal.. went down tonight and brought 3 different guns… even though i already have 5. the cheapest bullets are at Kmart. 2 different Nerf bullets available - one pack was $2 the other $3.. havent seen them anywhere else cheaper..

  • +2

Ok, I got a little carried away today lol.

    I have now bought:
    1x Rampage
    1x Alpha Trooper CS-12
    1x Stockade
    1x Retaliator
    2x Strongarm's
    1x Fire Strike
7x Elite Bullet Packs of 12

I have been playing with them all and I have found that the best rifles are the Rampage and Alpha Trooper CS-12. Both of the Handguns are good too but the Strongarm is better as it holds more rounds.

    Hope this helps =)

    • Elite Bullet Packs of 12

      How much were they?

      • $3.00 each pack of 12

        • Couldn't find any elite bullet packs - suction darts don't work on the retaliator and alpha trooper - the suction tip gets stuck in the barrels, works fine in the strongarm though.
Couldn't find any 12/18 mag clips either..
Were these classed as "high capacity magazines" and hence "we should ban them!" like the US? :P

        • Ahh that sucks… The 2 stores I went to in QLD still had plenty of elite bullets left.

And both stores I went to didn't have any magazine accesories or I would have bought some too =)

Edit: Just had a look on eBay at some prices for the mags.. I can't believe how expensive they are.. About $25 for one 18 round elite magazine with bullets..

Edit #2: Seems like the 18 round elite magazines are cheaper from amazon US.. Here are the prices below including shipping for different quantities in AUD…

          1 = $21.48 delivered = $21.48 each
          2 = $34.34 delivered = $17.17 each
          3 = $47.21 delivered = $15.74 each
          4 = $60.07 delivered = $15.02 each
          5 = $72.94 delivered = $14.59 each
          6 = $85.81 delivered = $14.30 each

        • Seems that on ebay - it's $15 for the 18 clip with streamline darts.

  • So im guessing it finishes today?

    • Started thursday so probs finish wednesday

      • nope. ended yesterday. I went instore and verified. Damn missed out. I knew i should have bought more.

        • Really? I just picked up 2 Rayven CS-18 from Ringwood target, today. They scanned at $15
Imo, the CS-18 was a deal in itself. $15 for a battery powered semi-auto shooter with great range and power, plus takes 18 darts and fires glow in the dark rounds..

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X_D3EdxvX8

        • I checked.Elite Bullet Packs were $3 on special. now up to $6

        • I couldn't find any rayvens, elite bullet clips, elite darts at Macquarie/Chatswood (Sydney) Targets.

        • Macquarie had them on 23/05. now all thats left is the tag darts

        • I went in on 25 and 26 :/

        • wouldn't those $15 rayvens be $7.50 then during the 50 % off sale?

i got a rayven from glenwaverly for $12.50, and i was pretty happy about that :)

        • So good aren't they? But no, they where marked at $30 on clearance. Prior to monday they where scanning at $13.50 or thereabouts.
