  • It should be noted that Norton 360 v2 is no longer their flagship product, it's been replaced by Norton IS 2009 which is why it's going so cheap.

NIS2009 is also a much, much better product, especially if you don't have a very new machine.

  • N360 is still the flagship product in the consumer range. Why would NIS be cheaper if it was better?

N360 is a set and forget version for consumers

check out http://www.symantec.com/en/au/norton/360 and compare related products. There you will see the 360 actually has more functionality built in for back ups and PC Tune ups

  • Its still the flagship product but V3 of 360 should be out soon (which incidenly is based off the IS 2009 core).

Probably firesaling the V2 product to make way for the new one.

  • hey, how about this special at DSE - any good?

    http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/en/product/XS10…

$118, less $40 cash back = $78 with surge protector
    It is 3 user though

  • +1

You can upgrade for free to V3 when it comes out if you own V2.

  • I reckon the DSE deal is better - surge protector is not bad for nix….

  • Why would you pay anything for something that will slow your system down and won't do as good a job as free alternatives?

Get either Avast or AVG antivirus free editions, Comodo Firewall Pro, Spybot Search and Destroy (all of which auto-update for free), stop using IE and start using Firefox and most of your security issues will be gone.
