Been waiting for this, got one!

  • Got one from eBay for approx $5. Very happy.

$15 is too much. U just pay for the brand.

    • And I haven't even heard of the brand. :P

How is the accuracy of the eBay scale?

      • are you talking about salter?
I think they normally make industrial/commercial scales (like at the fish market or the zoo lol)

anybody know the minimum weight on these things?
my ebay one broke after 2 months use…

        • Just wanted to add my ebay scale broke after our first trip as well.

        • I have this one:
          Under $4 delivered. http://www.aliexpress.com/item-img/Free-Shipping-40kg-x-20g-…

Holding up like a champ for several months. Have tried weighing various heavy items. A 10KG (NET WEIGHT) bag of flour comes up as 10.07 on this thing. Probably close enough since the packaging is just a double-walled paper bag with plastic handle on it fastened with some thread on top and bottom.

Another comment on a scale deal posted here suggested some ebay scales aren't as accurate with higher weights (or this one isn't as accurate, I can't remember the exact wording). I am not clued-in on this since I have no other reference to compare it to, nor some fixed calibrated weight.

With smaller weights of household items it comes up accurate enough, and seems to round off to the closest 5 grams. It compares accurately enough (for items under 3KG) with my far more expensive Tanita kitchen scale (which can measure to 1 gram increments) when measuring the same items.

So far I think it's pretty good as far as a 40KG-capacity hanging scale goes. It seems to be a real bargain since I paid just over $3 for it delivered, from memory.

      • to be honest, the ebay one is surprisingly accurate, beyond my expectation :D

    • bought from last binglee sale.saved me some luggage money on my last overseas trip . still going strong after 5 months and accurate as well. highly recommend for frequent travellers.

    • Same. I got these for less than $3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Convenient-for-carrying-40kg-20g-Ele…

Just use a piece of string strapped to the hook to weigh your luggage.

  • can we order online and pay instore rep?

  • Bought one last time and got order cancelled and refunded after it was never sent (and I was the one who had to do the chasing to find out where it was at)

  • Nevermind.

  • Bing lee are great

  • Got one from good guys for $15, in store, if this offer sells out again. Could probably negotiate another dollar or 2 as they took me up straight away on my offer.

Salter make great scales apparently, good reputation (I've read…)

  • Got one a few months ago and is very accurate and easy to use. Highly recommended.

  • Thanks! I just realised that I've lost the battery cover of my el cheapo one, so this is perfect timing.

  • Does anyone know what these run on? (battery type etc)

    • Button battery x 1

  • Thanks op. bought one.i have been looking to get one of these.

  • Bought one

  • Awesssomee I was just looking for this!!!

  • Deal is still going.
