Dafuq. That one has less votes even though it includes shipping at the same price.

It's almost as if people blindly spam the vote buttons believing they are 'contributing'.
Probably had something to do with the day of the week it was posted as well.

      • Thanks! And even cheaper at HN before. (expired now)

  • OW sell these for $67, they aren't up on the website for some reason but i saw them last night.
NOTE: these are not SATA connections so you can't take them out and use the hardware.

    • Officeworks Hobart are all out of stock of the old WD 'Elements' models and only have the new 'My Passport' branded devices for sale at the higher price of $99 for 1TB.

      • Hmm okay, last night we had a heap of them put out.(Launceston Store)

    • Thanks for that - just got one from my local OW (who still had loads of stock of it). It was marked at $89, but scanned at $67.

  • When HN were selling it for $68, I did the OW pricematch & paywave combo ($61.37). Should be able to do the same here by directing OW to JB or Bing Lee.
I keep thinking maybe I should buy some more and sell them on ebay after a while. But Ebay's got pretty high listing prices + the paypal cut :/

  • Does this version have all the bloatware on it?

    • +1

My understanding is that Elements doesn't have bloatware whereas the Essentials model does.

  • I'm going to put this in my PS3 :P

  • Theres still very limited stock of the clearance 3TB for $69.95 in the government owned Australia Post office branches it's usb 2 and there was not enough cooling in the case so don't use with the case but if you only need the drive you get Seagate 3.5" 3tb for $69.95 . There's none in SA and you cant find these online but if you call Aust post 13number they will help you find this "quit stock"! cat number 26153

    • Pretty limited to none in Vic.

      • Very limited only in VIC there was at least one in Oakleigh (20min/21km from Melb City Centre) when I checked on Friday! Didn't bother checking other locations past that as I was hoping not to call on interstate favors.

I got the last 4 in SA, West Lakes, Gawler, Renmark & Nuriootpa as I needed 4 identical for my raid. There is more stock in country areas so perhaps more of interest to country people.

  • none in sydney CBD

  • At leat 25-30 still available at Officeworks Mona Vale 2103.
