G'day Monica - If I pop down to the apple store will they be able to price match BIG W? thanks waiting for your reply

    • -3

      Apple don't price match.

      • +1

Sure do, price matched them against JB plenty of times.

    • +3

Really you want to pay $400 for this phone.

        • wow..mind blown. although, could be a good investment

        • Didn't the original 2G only sell a few million? I remember the stories that people were scared to buy them due to being robberies in USA, oh USA.

        • yeah, but that's the 2G dude. the 2G!

this ain't no 2G…it's gone downhill since then :p

  • Do they still sell the original iPhone, or the iPhone 3G?

    • Those models are no longer made by apple.

  • -8

isn't it this price like 2 years ago?

  • +8

People still buy this rubbish phone. It boggles my mind when it is $429 at the Telstra Shop and right next to it is the 4G HTC One XL 32GB for $399.

  • +2

what's with iphones post comments with stupid questions?

    • maybe from the ppl who got ripped off few years back LOL

  • -4

You can add $230 more for a new Samsung Galaxy S4. Who wants to buy an old phone?

  • +2

Clearing stock for when they swap it for the iPhone 4S when the 5S comes out.

    • -4

I heard there won't be a 5s but a budget priced iPhone model instead.

      • -1

Did a birdy tell you that? Or was it Steve Job's spirit?

        • It's pretty much all over the forums lately. It's all rumours of course.

        • +1

          @marci nah .. from Samsung's CEO

      • +2

Nah, it'll be just what everyone's expecting.
Updated camera (the most amazingest brilliantest camera ever they will say…. Then it'll perform worse than Samsungs).

        Slightly more ram.
        Slightly better processor.
Lightning cable capable of doing video.

One random unnecessary upgrade that will 'change the way phones are used'.

The normal crap. (This is coming from someone who's only owned iPhones for the past 5 or so years).

  • +3

You can get a Samsung Galaxy S3 with same price or less..

    • -8

I like Samsung. Use an s4 myself but the s3 was a dog of a phone. Even free I wouldn't use one again.

      • that s4 copy a same shit s3 design you just hold that. smell anything??

        • Got to love how anti iPhone comments get voted up but if you bag a Samsung you get down voted. And they say apple fanboys are bad!!

  • Not bad, probably the best price currently for this phone. It may be locked to Telstra though, double check!

  • +5

I cannot believe people are still buying this thing when you can get more
    faster
    lighter
    stronger
    SMARTER

phones for about the same money.

    • +1

      You mean cheaper.

  • -8

iPhone is like a toyota, strong build quality, goes for ever, and keeps it resale value. Android phones are like kia/hyundai for a cheaper price has all the gimmicks and features you ever want and more, however they have too many models and lose value daily.

    • +14

      worst analogy ever…

    • +1

      lol. captain clueless.

    • -2

      Agree landroverz

I purchased a couple of Motorola Razr Android phones.

They constantly froze and dropped calls. Looked pretty, didn't work as phones at all - useless…

  • +1

Crazy that people still buy these. I just sold my 2.5 year old iPhone 4 32gb on Ebay for $305. Used the proceeds and added $100 for a S3 4G. I must say..Android has come a long way. Loving this phone.

    • wow!

i want to sell my iphone4 and 3gs now :D

  • +4

hmm, everytime you go into a iphone/samsung deal, so many negs lol

    • +1

and so many derp comments/analogies :D

    • +2

Because all the juniors here think they have a right to tell people what they want to buy. Its a bargain site to share bargains. If you like Coca Cola then if its about Pepsi then bugger off.

But I forget, if they have no apps to amuse them, I guess they gotta do something else…

      • -1

lol. ^^ someone has some growing up to do too.

nowadays app makers are smart enough to make apps for all 3 platforms… oops. should I say, serious app makers?

just like how people used to bitch about "oh there is no microsoft office for mac" or "photoshop only runs on SGI".

only small time developers can only focus on 1 platform.

apps discussion aside… just have a read, this particular post has quite a number of iphone related stupid questions and analogies… must be the moon phase or something.

        • -1

Hey slowmo, the app comment was to do with apps that amuse, not app content on ANY platform, the comments were directed at any smartphone user, who feels they need to be smart about another's choice. eg play shoot em up games, rather than shooting down….

It was in response to Tal_s comments which refered to both iphone/samsung and how both platform lovers ,like to spoil the others posts.

As for the growing up, at least its better than me growing old :)… Thanks ;)

Oh and BTW the reported "bitch" about

oh there is no microsoft office for mac

is a little misleading. Excel was first available on the Mac and office has always been available. Its just a different development cycle.

Microsoft released the first version of Excel for the Macintosh on 30 September 1985, and the first Windows version was 2.05 (to synchronize with the Macintosh version 2.2) in November 1987

The Microsoft Office was introduced for Mac OS in 1989, before Office was released for Windows

  • Target still has the 3GS for $429 !
