Dual 27" Monitor Desk Mount $49.95 @ Jaycar

230

Hey all,

Was searching for a 27" monitor stand (cause I missed out on the $30 Aldi one) and found this at Jaycar on sale. Original price is $69.95 but it is currently on sale for $49.95. I got this at liverpool Jaycar this morning, I only saw one box but there maybe more out back. This is nationwide sale. Stock will vary from state to state and store to store.

Product Overview -

Double Screen LCD Bracket

Desk space, the final frontier. If your desk is clogged with notes, manila folders and finding space is becoming a dangerous balancing act, then you need an LCD bracket. These brackets use a C-type clamp for a powerful lock onto a variety of desk thicknesses. The monitor can be rotated 360 degrees horizontally and vertically and also extended to approximately 400mm from its base. For an extra bit of customisation, the monitor can be rotated from portrait to landscape, which is especially useful for the double screen model. To bolster desk neatness, easy to open cable clips run along the structure of the bracket to house your DVI cable, monitor power cable or any other cable that requires monitor connection. Both brackets feature a sleek matte black finish for an inconspicuous blending into your desk motif.

Specifications:
VESA mounting (75mm x 75mm and 100mm x 100mm)
Max load: 10kg per monitor
Swivel: 360 degrees
Rotate: 360 degrees
Fully adjustable arms
Rotate monitor from landscape to portrait
Dimensions: 455(H) pole height, each arm 490mm(L)

They also have a single arm stand. Original price is $49.95 but it is currently on sale for $36.95.

Product review -
For $49.95 it is really good. Quite strong, only issue I have is that the screws are a tad tight, but that might be from me already placing the monitors, should have adjusted screws then placed the monitors on. It is currently holding a 27" and a 23" secondary.

    Great deal Deuce ;)

  • Does something like this need much clearance behind the desk? I'm asking because my desk is pretty much up against the wall (maybe about 10cm clearance).

    • That's plenty, I use one myself. It takes up maybe 5 cm max? It's kind of like an L shape. If you ask staff nicely they'd be happy to show you.

      • Whats the locking mechanism for height adjustment? Looks like a thumb screw type?

        • To lock the arm on to the pole is a C clamp with a bolt.

  • cool. i has looking for one to make a stand for dual cdjs…

    cheers

  • Great for those who missed on out the Grays Online deal

  • Am still trying to find a cheap one that supports 4 24" monitors.

never seen one, you'll have to go for a 6 monitor mount

      and they aren't cheap

  • Does Aldi have a 30day no questions return policy?

Would this fit 2x 23" right next to each other? There doesn't appear to be any side adjust from the pictures or description.

    • Hey Risser

The monitor stand, supports anything upto 27". So this should fit 2x23" landscape or portrait, you can adjust the arms to sit both the screens closely. I hope this answers your question.

      • Thanks Deuce,

From the pics it's hard to see if they adjust horizontally :(

I'll pop in on Monday, stopping by Aldi first to see if I can return my 2x singles :)

  • Great price. I wonder how good Jaycar are with stock.

  • After so many experiences with junk quality products from Jaycar all I can say is I'd look elsewhere if I wanted something that will work or last any reasonable length of time.

    • I've had one of these holding up 2 * 24" monitors for nearly 18 months now, and I'm happy with their quality. They're solid, easy to set up and my monitors haven't fallen to their death yet, which is nice. At $50 I'd absolutely buy them again.

  • I purchased a few of these stands a few years ago and I wouldn't buy them again nor recommend them. The adjustments for the screen tilt relies on your tightening up an allen screw as tight as you can and a few times I've had a monitor swing so it's hanging face down at the desk without warning, adjusting the monitors to get them level is also difficult as one stand is slightly out one way and the other slightly out the other with no adjustment and if your desk is not perfectly level this is be exacerbated especially with 24" monitors.

It's well worth paying the extra and buying some of the well engineered ones that had some thought go into the design but for the money they are solidly built just quite a few flaws.

  • Damn I didn't see the comment above before I got one, but I can tell you the Perth store has stacks of stock. Here's hoping I'm happy with it now :P
