    2382 clicks and still hasn't sold out on a limited stock deal. hmmmmm some thing strange going on there. Wonder how many order cancellations there are going to be tomorrow.

    • We will see tomorrow when Dick Smith re-opens. There would have been no body at the Dick Smith warehouse today. I ordered my 2 copies well over 2000 clicks ago so possibly have a better chance of getting it.

      At the moment it's not far from 2500 clicks and hasn't sold out according to the home delivery Availability but i wouldn't trust that. Dick Smith has known not to be able to count right.

  • Link was correct and as evident it was posted for the past 14 hours with a few thousand clicks. No longer works now though since it's disappeared.

    Looks like the deals over then. The game is no longer showing up on the Dick Smith website either under PSP games. They probably found out that the ordering system screwed up having had thousands of orders today when there was only a few hundred or so in stock.

      Don't know. But my two orders were 536xx and 537xx so looks like i'm over a thousand orders earlier. Just shows just how many orders that Dick Smith must have got for this. Got in this deal early which is always a good thing. Still stuck on order processing. So if my two orders get cancelled then you've got no chance.

  • I got the cancellation email too. My orders were early.

    Strange thing is as of right now both my early orders are showing in the order history as being processed. Hasn't been cancelled yet according to that.

    • My late order still shows processing as well so I wouldn't take that to mean much. Perhaps it just means they're processing the refund.

    What's taking Dick Smith so long to process these refunds. I hadn't received any refund yet to my Visa debit from my 2 orders and Paypal says the payment to Dick Smith is still valid with no reversal. Do they like playing with our money on the stock exchange.

    If this was all a pricing error then how come they hadn't re-listed the game on the Dick Smith website at a so called correct price. Unless they never had any stock to begin with. Dick Smith is trolling us here. Playing with our money. I know it's only 50c but multiply that by potentially thousands of orders they'd be gaining interest off other peoples money.

    Another week and i'm submitting an item not received dispute with Paypal if they don't process those refunds. Money is money even at 50c each.

    • Nope. I'm going to escalate my claim to PayPal tomorrow as DSE are yet to reply or action it.

      No refund here. Dick Smith is quick to take your money but slow to give it back. It's just been a bit over a week. It doesn't sound like Dick Smith has issued any one a refund.

      I'm off to make a dispute with Paypal.

    I have claimed a refund through Paypal.

    It is only 50c but it is the principal, if everyone just forgets about it Dick has made a tidy profit.

    Paypal dispute for my two orders have been made. I suggest others do the same if they paid through Paypal. Dick Smith has been playing around with my $1 for over a week so far.

      Wonder if your email got lost in the mail. I got the email last monday but my two orders still say "your order is being processed" on the order history. And i ordered very early on.

      But it means nothing. I still have an order dating back to 5 Jan 2011 that says "your order is being processed". I don't think their system works all that right. I think it's stupidly designed.

  • Finally got my $1 refund.

  • Still no refunds here but got my two Paypal disputes open. Will give it another week and if nothing happens will escalate to a claim.

    • I've been told that if you open a dispute they can only refund your money when you close the dispute. That's what NH told me anyway when I had half a dozen orders in dispute.

        Pretty much every company I have opened a dispute with has told me the same thing. The fact is they can do a refund but choose not to. If you close the dispute and they don't refund you can't reopen it again.

        • If they were to do that I would then be contacting my credit card company and making a complaint to consumer affairs.

        • So if you close the Paypal dispute you're up shit creek. Dick Smith doesn't even bother responding to the Paypal dispute.

  • Just checked my cc statement and I was refunded on 06/06/13. I did not lodge paypal dispute.

    • I didn't lodge my paypal disputes until the 11/06/13 and at that time there were no refunds. My orders were made very early on too. So stuff Dick Smith they had a week to issue my refunds but they didn't bother. As of today no refunds and no responses to my paypal disputes. It's as like they don't care.

    Someone mentioned on their facebook page that they only do paypal refunds on a Friday. Strange.

      • Dick Smith wasn't responding to my Paypal dispute either. What's with the techsperts not responding to customers.

    • I escalated my two Paypal disputes to a claim yesterday. Still no response from Dick Smith to either claim. It's like they never respond to Paypal. Good way to run a business with Paypal. Never respond to your customers Paypal demands.

  • How long to you need to wait before you can escalate a Paypal dispute to a claim?

    • You can do that anytime. You can even do that straight after opening a dispute.

      • I gave it a week between opening dispute and opening a claim but the dispute didn't get any where since Dick Smith doesn't ever even respond to disputes.

  • Ok thanks, I thought you'd have to give them a few days to respond before you could escalated a dispute to a claim. I'm thinking I might go straight to the bank and dispute the charges. They don't return phone calls, they don't reply to emails. Quite frankly I don't know how they are allowed to get away with it. I thought HN was bad. These people are amateurs in comparison.

  • Yeah it is a smart trick they have done. Knew everyone would bite and order the game at 50 cents. Majority will not bother to claim it back and it is easy profit for Mr DICK.

  • Gosh I should feel lucky I received this email the other day after emailing them through their online store. And no, my 0.50c has not been refunded as yet:

    "Good Afternoon

    Thank you for taking time to email Dick Smith Online.

    In relation to your enquiry regarding your refund, all refunds should be completed by close of business today. The funds should appear in your nominated account within 3-5 business days.

  • I escalated my paypal dispute to a claim this morning and received a refund 20 minutes later. 3c was paid via WISH gift card so only received the 47c I paid with paypal.

    • I put mine on 12th June and just received the refund today…it is surely difficult for DS to refund 50c

    • same but got my .20c back,i wonder if they will put the other 30C back on the wish card

  • I just received two refunds from Dick Smith and the Paypal claim has been closed. That comment about Dick Smith not being able to do a refund until a dispute has been closed was total BS. They could do it any time. Gee it only took them 3 weeks to give our money back. Guess they've been playing with all these 50c payments on the stock market for a few weeks. Wonder how much interest they made off it.

      After2 odd weeks nothing, so I file a dispute with Paypal - and suddenly credit given within 24 hours …

  • Any one else's Dick Smith account suddenly was not working. It was the first time i've tried logging in since the Modnation PSP game purchase hadn't touched the account since then but i couldn't login to my account just now even though i was using the correct password so all i could do was try the reset the password and now i've got back in only to find all my order history is gone absolutely nothing there and my account details like address has disappeared. It's like all my account details were deleted. Wonder if they deleted my details in spite cause i put in those two Paypal disputes over the PSP game.

    Geez Dick Smith handles these things bad. Well Dick Smith you've lost me as a customer. They're even worse than Harvey Norman.

        Yeah i see i'm not the only one what the heck is going on with the accounts. It's as like some one deleted the account details so obviously don't want us as a customer. You should check the address details will also be gone and basically every single other thing to do with the account. As i said i'm done with Dick Smith it took weeks to get a refund which should have only taken a few days now the account details is deleted after that happened. Nice way to treat customers.

          oh shxt.. same I'm the OP and ordered abt $30 stuffs include one "ModNation Racers PSP", 2 Skullcandy Earphones and a Nokia Bluetooth Headset. None of the things arrive and no order number to track now as I deleted my email order!

        • OK so you have no record of the order since you've lost the email and there's no order history showing the order number in your account. Yeah there's problems. Either Dick Smith's computer system is totally screwed up or some dodgy employee in Dick Smith with high enough access to the computer system had erased a bunch of accounts. Wonder if some one's trying to cover up their incompetence over the Modnation PSP game debarcle.

      Makes me wonder if the webmaster of the Dick Smith website is incompetent. Firstly they can't even get prices right on the site and then there's the incorrect stock count or items that are both incorrectly priced and there's no stock to begin with (such as this Modnation Racers PSP game). And now accounts have been reset lacking any order history and customer addresses as if it was all deleted. Who's running the circus.
