Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE $689 Delivered

30

Found this online.

From WHirlpool forums, the actual pickup location is extremely dodgy, but apparently most people have received their Aussie stock (of other items, mainly Apple stuff) in quick delivery times and proper tax invoices

Couldn't really find much other info. Guess will try with credit card and worst case scenario is to dispute the payment

i was luck the other day i came across an ad on gumtree, address and fixed number posted, when i goggled it was a car Tyre shop lol, i called them on the number, they had 2 and got sold already but gonna have more stock tomorrow, so i came to the place and asked did they post an ad etc, they said yes, if i want one gotta make a 10% deposit, lol and got a receipt for the deposit for a galaxy s4 from a tyre shop LOL! got a call tomorrow to pick it up, new phone, sealed optus for $550, was a bit suspicious, called optus to check if it isnt on someones plan or stolen coz it can get blocked and blacklisted then its good for nothing in australia, they said its all good :)

it wasent a china shop, but some shady types worked there to be honest.

    • How did you know what stock it is if you are picking it up tomorrow? How can Optus check?

$550? thats even cheaper than telstra's employee discount at $580… and it's apparently not stolen? Care to share the shop/seller?

    • Its fast and furious lol

  • i checked once i got it, called optus and gave the phones IMEI number. If i had any trouble id report the shop guys to optus, and get a refund. Let them kill each other etc, out of my hands.

    • Lol report them to Optus and say what, Optus would probably just tell you that you got scammed.

  • I bought my S3 from them a while back, they were about $100 cheaper than other Aus stock at the time. Couldn't find any info on the company and it sounded a bit dodgy so I drove out (to what turned out to be a bathroom supplies warehouse) to check it out first. To my surprise they had unopened Australian stock.

Probably spent half the savings in time and fuel but wasn't willing to hand my money over without seeing for myself.

    • So they're an IT company operating out of a bathroom supplies warehouse? What the?

Website is a bit cruddy looking, but Google comes up with this Whirlpool thread with happy buyers http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1639749

      • Yep!

To be fair they're an online reseller with pickup available…I know of a few decent online businesses operating out of garages and spare rooms. Given that this website and lack of reputation don't exactly inspire confidence there's no way I'd have bought from them if I couldn't see the product before paying. Worked for me. I don't really care where they store their stock.

      • Just checked the address I picked up from last time and it's different to the one on their website. Wonder who they're sharing a warehouse with now?!?!

      • You want some tiles with that?
