I went to the Aquarium last weekend and must say even at these prices it is not worth it. The place is a building site with renovations due for completion in September. We went and were out of there in around an hour, with only the penguins and the sharks worth looking at. Should be free until September!

the Aquarium is so not worth it,

The Melbourne Zoo has a pretty good collection of aquatic mamals (Penguins / seals and the like) the only thing they have that the zoo doesn't is all the various kinds of fish.

If you are from Sydney don't even think about this, the Taronga zoo is a hundred times better.

Sorry for the rep, but the deal is not good value for money. Better save up on a few of these random individual expenses and take your 1 year FOTZ membership.

umm isn't that why its called an aquarium?

well, go for this if you like fish, what I meant to say is the Zoo has a lot of marine life and a decent exhibit of Penguins, seals, snakes and other water creatures + lots more.
