  • Thanks!! Have always wanted to do this :)

  • ZERO to HERO

    Just enrolled.
I don't know if its really zero to "Hero"
While it is good for beginners.. I thought "Hero" would mean lightly touching on VBA.
This course seems to be covering basics only for excel.

    • Yes
      Beginner: ZERO to HERO :)
Advanced courses are their for $10 with another coupon code

Cheers OP, this will be handy for work.

  • Udemy needs some QC. Too much crap on there, makes it a glorified YouTube. I've enrolled in half a dozen courses, so I may change my opinion, then again.. I may be correct.

    A couple more:

    Advanced Excel 2010: (https://www.udemy.com/microsoft-excel-2010-advanced/)
    Comprehensive Excel 2010: (https://www.udemy.com/microsoft-excel-2010/)

    Coupon code is:

    TINTIN

    • Thank you very much updated the post.

      • For anyone that's interested, comprehensive = beginner + advanced.
Still no VBA, but from what I can see, the topics are very good considering its free, and basically covered everything that doesn't have VBA involved.

  • Got the error message: Code had been disabled by instructor :( Guess I joined in the party a little too late!

    • same message here… bugger!!

      • For both codes?

  • Just completed the first few lectures of the Excel basic:

    1. Language difficulties - the teacher has an Indian accent, and the material is filled with both spelling and grammatical errors.
    2. Not terribly professional - Some guy has just recorded his screen as he iterates through various excel commands. The quiz questions aren't very well worded either.
    3. If I had have paid for this course I'd feel very ripped off. This is not the best way to spend a weekend.

Overall I'd give it 3/10 — and that's just because it was free!

A far better alternative is www.acm.org — you can join as a student member for about $50/year and it provides access to dozens and dozens of courses. Alternately there are dozens of free online university courses provided elsewhere (use google)
