[Steam Weekend Deal] Kerbal Space Program 33% off ($15.40)

120

Kerbal Space Program is a physics-based rocket and space (program) simulator game still in development. One of the hosts of the podcast Gamers With Jobs absolutely raved about it a week or so ago. Even though it's clearly not finished yet, there's a huge amount of entertainment in there already. There's also a free demo if you want to try it first.

  • NODE did a LAN party with it. If you have no idea what this game is - this will give you an idea of how fun it can be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEUPYutqvkA

  • This game looks epic! Do you think the price will drop in steam sales?
EDIT: Bought it anyway.. pretty keen to play it after exams!

    • Perhaps after release, but it's been in development for ages now and I think this is the first sale it's had on Steam.

      • +2

It gets more expensive over time though.

When I first started in .13 it was only $7 to buy it.

  • Although this game looks like a bit of fun, I can't help but feel like there's little replayability. I mean, yes, you can go to other planets, but it's basically the same thing as flying to the moon.

Getting to the equivalent to Neptune is a lot different than the moon. You need a lot of fuel to alter your course like that, which probably needs a fuel station above Earth and possibly between Earth and Neptune if you want to get back. Then if you want to land you have to account for different gravity with your landing module and the likes.

Plus there's also going to be career mode where you have to buy parts and try to avoid crashing your ship all the time.

      • Not to mention trying different designs..

  • Looks fun.
