      Gold!

  • Couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else (Grey imports are 2750). Although 4k projectors go for $25000, worth considering since tech like that falls down in price quite quickly.

  • Hi Matt….Nice price..looking forward to Auditioning the Epson 9100W soon!!!

    • Looking forward to being the Auditioner ;)

Hi Matt. Any chance of an awesome special on the VPL-VW1000 ;)

    • Hey Spizz,

Not at this stage I am sorry :(

What about an Epson TW9100, JVC X55/X95 or a Mitsubishi HC5?

      Cheers,

      Matt

      • Hi Matt
The jump in qual from 1070 to 9100, is it really worth the extra coin considering it's prob going to be old tech in 2 yrs, plus how's the fan noise?
Sore eye's from reading all the forums, seems the 9100 is slightly in front for value, what are your thoughts?
Also noticed these guys got the 9100 under 3k, any chance seeing you do similar?

        Cheers!

  • Mattwalker: how come these sony 's light output are only 1300lm ? do they need to be in a darker room compare with something like epson TW6100 which said 2200 lumen ?

    • They do require a darker environment for sure - but each manufacturer measures lumens in different ways - this model works better in a batcave but can perform in a living room when dark.

  • Wow, $34 cheaper then on ebay from a seller in Brisbane who also has free delivery with TNT. Not really a bargain if saving $34 on a $2.5K item!

    • Still cheaper though!! ;)

      • Not really a bargain price…. drop by 10% and maybe then….

  • The Panasonic AE8000 and Epson 8100 both easily outperform this dated projector and can be had for only $100 or so more.

      • Can't find the AE8000 on your site

        • Its a work in progress :)

      • Good price on the Epson. If anyone here is after a great 16:9 all-rounder, look no further. Best bang for buck on the market.

Great price on the Epson ;)

        • Hi Marto, assuming from your comments you have the Epson 8100?
Any idea how it is noise wise above on ceiling compared to the BenQ 1070/80 range?
If you were going to spend up to 5k would you still consider the 8100 best bang for buck?

          Cheers!

  • Any chance you can sell the W1070 for a similar price point as the auction you had in March? ($840+shipping)? Pcntech are doing it for $925 plus reasonable shipping ($17) here http://pcntech.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&produ…

I'm willing to buy for $860 but not any more than that.

    • Hi Zarcady,

They were a couple of tests :)

We have just reduced our price online / eBay but certainly not to $840 I am sorry.
