  • Nice!

Does JB stock any other colour besides black?

I was too excited about the price to check. They only had the black one on display and didnt ask me to choose so im guessing they dont sell the silver one. And their online store doesnt offer a choice either.

      • Can you post up your review of it?.

Sony X members can get it for cheaper. But not many are any ways.

I am surprised that Sony has finally stopped their ridiculous Australia Pricing and made them very similar to overseas pricing, finally a retailer who stops ripping off Australia.

I remember the Sony Z Series laptops were like $2000 overseas but $4000 in Australia.

The Pro is "supposedly" the Z replacement (sadly no dedicated graphics but for a business user it doesn't really matter).

The Pro will be their flagship product same as what the Z was when it was released.

      $12.92 cheaper haha

    • I read the new cpu is doing a reasonably good job in terms of graphics. Should handle light to medium gaming ok.

though no touch screen + 1440x900 instead of 1080p, the newly released macbook air with its 10+ hr battery life seems to be a really good option as well… especially GFX power, Intel 4400 (VAIO) vs 5000 (Macbook Air)

NOTE: Prices are in USD, however the Macbook Air do sell for less than $1300 here in Australia as well.

    • I guess the downvotes are for it not quite being the same thing. A reasonable point you make, I believe, but 1080 screen is a pretty big draw card that may outway battery for some.

Can get free headphones? And Sony does price match

  • Picked this laptop up today at Harvey Norman Chadstone for $1250 plus free case logic laptop bag!.

    • can u post up a receipt?
      thx

        • Whats with the chadstoners?
They seem to be able to get easy price reductions for new products!
Happened last time the ASUS UX31a ultrabook was released.. someone uploaded a receipt and people were reporting JBHifi staff said "head office" told them a fake receipt was circulating around so they couldn't price-match it. This was the base i5, 128gb model, and the price-matched price was essentially equivalent to importing it from the US (although it was released in Australia a little later, the same price with an AU plug, no need to get a new plug)

        • cheers got one but they were grumpy this morning and didnt give me the laptop bag :(

        • Shame they wouldn't give you a bag but speaking of bags the one i got was for a 15.4 inch laptop and even with the strap around the ultra book it wasn't held in tightly at all. Just went back and exchanged it for the Targus city fusion 13.3 inch Canvas messenger bag and it's so much better in design, quality and portability and comes with a lifetime warranty! http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/computer-ac…

        • that's about doubles up the weight

  • Seen someone picking up one from JBHI today for just over $1200. Looks like a good bargain if you ask for it.

  • Thanks, got one for 1250 with case in HN, as deal above, easy match. They were low on stock on black ones,I didn't like the silver one, so I'll pick one up next week.

  • Did anyone get a better price than $1,200?
    I wanna get one.

    thanks
