How do you use it with your iPad?

        • I want to know as well , plz ,thx

        • 3.5mm jack from ipad to speakers.

usb charger to power the speakers.

        • Plug the speaker to a external battery charger using USB cable, then use 3,5mm jack to connect ipad with speaker :-)

        • so one of those portable battery chargers would work?

  • How does this work? Would it be able to complement my laptop speakers? my laptop has a 2.1 sound system…

    • No, 3.5mm in

USB powered and also signal. Sound will be from this speaker rather than the internal system - if you're happy with them, then there's no advantage. I have one on my Dell 12" laptop - it's about the same width as the screen - and the sound is heaps better and louder than the internal speakers, quite adequate for shared viewing. It fits nicely in the pocket of the laptop bag. The single drawback is that it occupies a USB port - I recommend you don't share with another device due to the power requirement. It includes an aux input but still needs the USB power.
Recommended buy especially at this price. In fact I may but another - great geek present!

I've had one for my laptop for a couple of years now and the sound quality is excellent. It plugs directly into a usb port, and clips on top of the screen (very portable for travelling etc.). Movies and music now sound great and the volume is much higher than using the laptop's inbuilt speakers.

  • Around $20 off the regular price at most places.

  • Could I use with this with my desktop PC? Be nice to have the option to take off my headset and listen to YouTube videos when my ears start to get sore. I'm not looking for an expensive speaker set, will this do the job

    • Yes, it would do the job nicely. Be aware that the USB lead is only about 30-35cm long - you will need an extension lead to reach your computer. That said, there are other USB speakers which would probably be better in a desktop situation.

  • Can this clip onto a 23" lcd monitor?

  • Seems like a good deal- I got one.

  • was just looking this week at a more compact speaker to replace the old desk top speaker i currently have for the laptop. seems to have good reviews, and for the price more than happy to give em a go.

  • Bought these a year ago as a gift, great improvement over laptop speakers of course. For this price, definitely a good purchase.

  • They're nice but the lack of chargeable batteries for mp3 use is a no go for me

    • you could probably use an external battery to USB device…I have a few that are USB chargers running off AA batteries, would supply the power needed I think.

  • good buy, thanks got one

  • Thanks, Now i need a bigger laptop bag to store the sucker !

    Thanks Op, I bit.

  • expiry date?

for these you're paying for convenience and simplicity, i really don't need them but the ones i'm using right now have a dying audio plug.

  • I've got one, it's pretty good sound for the size and the price.

  • Bought one, thanks. Not sure whether I needed or not…. :-)

  • useful to add sound to the N40L but seems to be "sold out"..

  • EXPIRED online @
