I came across this while looking for a laptop, refurbished acer 7" Tablet for $99.

The only review I read gave it 3.5 out of 5 but for $99 can't go wrong, good for 3 yr olds?!?

  • this thing been this price before few times didnt it?

still the old cursed 512mb, 1gb would've hit

  • Because I feel belligerent, I'm negging because of limited quantity!
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guideline…

    • I feel as though acer is being punished by publishing the remaining qty…

      • And because I'm in a bad mood and feel like being a stickler for the rules

        • Well if it makes you feel a little better!

And I am not being sarcastic.

"If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. If the quantity is too small then your deal may be removed. As a guideline, less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price. "

Many people would consider $99 a high price. Perhaps best to read the guidelines before posting them next time.

        Have another neg.

  • Held this in DSE yesterday and be warned it is very basic. Not a refined product, felt heavy and cheap… Was $149 in dse fyi.

That said, if $100 is your limit, youd be hard pressed to find another branded tablet with aussie warranty.

    • "felt heavy"? It's 320 grams or is it not?

      • try it yourself.
go to a store, pick this up and weight it against the other popular tablets like samsung tab, nexus 7 or ipad mini.
This tablet does feel heavy, bulky and cheap.

I know what sickllama was refering to. on paper, this tablet would have look normal. but in real life, when you handle it, touch and feel, it's a big different.

of course, that's one of the reason it's $150 normal price and $99 when on special.

      • I have a Samsung 7.7, which if I recall correctly is actually heavier than 320g, yet it is well designed and I don't think it feels heavy or bulky. I know the two isn't a fair comparison (given you can't pick up the 7.7 for $99), but just wanted to share my experience for those looking to buy the tablet without ever placing hands on one…

  • i think you can get $29 cash back from Acer as well.

  • Firstly, it's a dupe one month ago, which the coupon code for extra 10% OFF is still working "TAXAFO15M13"

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/104709

Secondly, without the coupon code will cost $114 after shipping. I will prefer DSE Asus ME172V with Brand New and 1GB Rom FREE SHIPPING for $129 instead $104.10 for this.

    credit to fchis
Not sure is this eligible for cashback, $29 off bring it down to $75.10 will be a good deal… But highly chances no cashback for refurbished items

    • Confused, which is better Single Core 1Gb rom Asus or Acer B1 Dual Core 512mb rom?

  • This was brand new for $99 a couple of months ago at bing lee, bought one for my 6 year old, he loves it, but I would not buy this refurbished at the same price.
