Just bought a WD 1TB My book essential External Hard Disk for only $183 @ JB Hifi CBD-Pitt st mall store, to make it even better, you can ask Office Works to price match 5% to $173. OW price is $199, that's $26 saving!

I dont know about Elements, but My book is quite and looks nicer. and also is cheaper.

I've just checked with JB Hifi CBD-Pitt st.
They sell them for $195.
You can still make OW to price match it with 5% off (which is $185.25).
Still a good price.

Went and had a look - it seems it does not include any backup software. However the Seagate Freeagent 1TB had 5 yr warranty and has backup software.
OW for happy to do price match (using MSY's $199) and got $189.05.
For the software and extra warranty - I decided to buy the Seagate one.

No! I read the entire contents and there was no message about free software from web.
Hence I paid $4 more for the added warranty and backup software.

They don't bother spelling it out for you so they can rip off clueless customers. No offence.
You just wasted 4 dollars. The main HDD manufacturers like Seagate, Maxtor (now Seagate) and WD all offer you backup software free of charge on their websites mate, take a look.
You can get WD at OW for $173. which is $16 dollars cheaper.
@catmao: At my local OW in VIC, they said they will have to call the store and make sure there is stock left at that price before they will give you the price match discount!
Apparently they do this to ensure that they don't match special employee price or for display item that could be lower than advertised price.
Not sure if I could get a price match based on JB Hifi receipt from another state!
