    if you're a business/educational institution buying a ton of stuff it can be significant.

    but for me, apparently I would have saved about $2 off a cased raspberry pi. Which then would have dropped it under their free shipping threshold. :/

      Surely you can find something worth $2 to push it back over the threshold? They recently had some cheap micro-USB to USB cables for about that much, on the Raspberry Pi page.

      Then you can consider their 5% discount as "get a free USB cable" instead!

  Unless you always buy over their free shipping limit, RS is better with free shipping regardless how much you buy.

      Less range, but sometimes cheaper. Often good prices for packs of nuts and bolts.
      Website can be more frustrating than Element14, much slower to search for what you want.
      Free shipping is only if you order online. If you use phone ordering, no free shipping.

        PS, the "RS" stands for "RadioSpares", not something else. "RadioSpares" is a large electronics chain in England, equivalent to Element14.

  Product quality is very good.

  Also we wary, the prices listed DO NOT include GST. You only get to see the GST when you view the cart or checkout, make sure you look at the total price.

  Delivery can be expensive, but I believe it is free if your order is $55 or more (perhaps $55 pre-GST?).
