    this will end badly…

    • +1

      Doesnt it always.

      • +2

Hey - don't be sad. Can't we all just be professional about this deal?

  • +1

I have a bad feeling about this.

  • Meh since its online, would be easy, other options are,,, of price match.

  • +1

Saw this in today's paper,it says in store only, but their website says online also..go figure

    • +2

Perhaps Harvey Norman should hire some professionals in their marketing department so that the messages are coming out correctly

  • +2

I got caught out last time I ordered these online I received paper receipt codes to redeem not the actual plastic iTune cards. If buying them as gifts they look horrible but I guess the thought is still there lol

    • Should have electronically gifted it.

  • The last time is for 2 days, and this time is only 1x2 hour.
    Don't think I can make it. :(

  • Anyone know how much shipping is for online purchases?

    • $1.95

    • +1

I'm seeing $3 for Melbourne suburbs

      • So am I for Sydney.

    • somehow it shows $3 for me.

  • +2

According to the website, every store in SA is out of stock, yet it is advertiser in The Advertiser… typical HN.

    • Yeh I'm not seeing anything for any Sydney stock from CBD all the way out to North Ryde (about 8 different stores)

Guessing it's effectively online only. So $21.95 for two, not bad I guess…

      • +2

It does say it's available for back order for free pick up instore - good if you've got one close by.

        • I did a Back Order with HN 1 year ago, after 5-6 weeks of them stuffing me around I filed a Refund Claim with PayPal & got my money back. Mind you, the item was showing in stock when I ordered but somehow the store I chose 'ran out' and said they will get me one in a few days… Ordered on 21st June, refund 3rd August YMMV - Good luck!

Edit: this wasn't for an itunes card

    • +1

The iTunes cards themselves are worthless and therefore are not recorded as stock. So, the HN website may say out of stock but they could have 1000 in stock. Also, if you don't care about the plastic itself you can just purchase the paper code.

  • OB ANNOUNCEMENT: Ring your local store and ask for a stock check because I have found three stores actually do have $20 iTunes cards in stock for the promo only

    Nunawading
    Chadstone
    Ringwood (80 in stock)

  • -1

    $5 VOUCHER still apply.

    • Minimum spend $25

    • +4

no it doesnt, itunes gift cards are excluded

  • +1

*Minimum order value of $25. Voucher limited to 1 per person. Excludes Harvey Norman & iTunes Gift Cards - so you'd need to buy something worth ~$5.

    • Where did you find this I ordered totaled $23 shipping was $3 and it went through and I got the email

      "
      Your Order

      Product Details: Price
      1 x iTunes $20 Gift Card - ITUNESPROMO
Includes BUY ONE, GET ONE AS A BONUS!"

      • He is talking about the $5 voucher. There is a group of people who like to use it every time even though it states one use only. Efectivly stealing $5 every time. Just because you can walk out of a store with merchandise doesnt mean you shouldnt pay first.

  • Just rang HN and they said the reason it is showing no stock online anywhere is because it is a in store only promotion,my local HN has plenty of stock, looks like I will be heading there at 11am.

    • 10AM *

      • Yes 10am i meant,in the paper it says 11am,i rang HN again and they said 10am.

  • Is this valid in QLD? I can't see it anywhere :(

  • Are you meant to put 2 $20 iTunes cards in the cart or do you just buy one and get send a 2nd one FOC?

    • Putting two in the cart just comes to $40.

    • I put 2 in the cart just in case and later in the checkout process it reverts to 1. Lets hope I actually get 2!!

In fairness it does say in bold BUY ONE, GET ONE AS A BONUS!

  • +3

Is it just me, or is this deal so "ripper" that it's not available? Given the short time frame to buy you would think something may have happened by now….

    • keep trying…

  • im using paypal and still getting the error !

  • No luck @ first online, kept trying and got "order confirmation. " Cheers op :) Off we go 2 get some instore.

  • Can't get the site to work:(

    • Buy 1 qty only…that happened when I put 2

    • On that page to the right is a 'items in your cart' box, in there is a agree to terms checkbox. Check it then hit place order. It then processes fine.

      • success now, weird. already click accept terms n conditions prior going to paypal.

  • Got 1, order online n pick up at Fortitude Valley QLD..paid by paypal…cheers

  • i got the same error, but after few minutes, got a confirmation order email..

  • Bought mine and fiancé got hers at HN Springvale HM center

  • Looking at the online order details, there is only one card mentioned. I hope the second one will be honoured for in-store pickup later.

    • You need to get the one that says buy one get one free

      • online order details

After placing the order for the one that said buy one get one free.

        • Yes, it should be fine. the same happened to me last time (with the same offer) they should sent you 2 cards.

    • The confirmation email listed the buy 1 get 1 free, and there was no problem collecting two cards from HN Martin Place today.

  • man that was painful, finally got an order through

  • Hi Guys,

Worked OK for me with delivery option. $3 to ACT.

    Good Luck!

  • +4

For those getting an error, are you using this link http://www.harveynorman.com.au/homepage/itunes-20-gift-card-… ?

Its on the front page and also posted a few times in comments above mine.

Clicking from the ripper deal link seems to lead to a different page (which has no mention of buy one get one free on it.) Whereas this link has red letters 'buy one get one as a bonus' under the price.

    • Thamks, worked for me. Tried pickup, but every store in Brisbane said "no stock", so used the delivery option for an extra $3.00.

      • It lets you back order them though. My local said no stock but then I just received the "order ready to collect" I dare say a lot of stores were keeping them out of the system until this morning so they wouldn't get sold before the rush.

  • Martin place the go, plenty :)

  • Bought 2,,

    Thanks OzBargain and theearth

  • for delivery works…seems selecting store pickup is the issue.

  • +1

I tried Paypal and Credit Card. Didnt work for either. This is the message I got for Credit Card:

SQLSTATE[40001]: Serialization failure: 1213 Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction. Contact us if you need help.

I tried delivery and Pickup. All options are not working for me.

    • OK guys, Credit card just didnt work for me at all (Visa, Master and AMEX).

However I used PayPal, and after a few tried (after the error messages) it worked fine. I got 2 sets of this.

  • +1

Don't worry about in-store stock, they're just printing the receipt with activation codes.

    • +1

Martin place real physical $20 cards

  • +3

Got a few too, had to press "place order" a few times because I was getting the same errors of "unable to place order, contact us if you need help" but all good now!

    • Ahh excellent advice! Its working now by pressing Place Order a couple of times.

      Thanks!

    • +1

Worked like a charm, after about 4-5 goes trying credit card, switched to paypal and worked. Pickup

  • that took a while but finally went through…

  • +1

they give you an actual card or just printed code? That will look bad if you plan to give it as gift

  • Fuuuuuu

that was painful. Everytime it errored out i had to retype everything. Took me like 10 goes typing on a mobile

  • +2

Thanks I got some delivered $3 not bad- not worth the effort of dragging 2 kids out to save $3
    Thanks OP

    • +1

If you had dragged 2 kids with you to the store, you could have bought $120 worth of iTunes cards for $60 ($40/person x 3 persons).

  • Failed three times when paying with a credit card (both using the main wesbite link and the mobile link) but worked first time with PayPal.
