Coke Zero Cans 24x 330ml - $5 at K-Mart [Glendale NSW]

530

So my wife came home from K-Mart today with a case of 330ml Coke Zero cans for me. She said it was only $5 and there were around a dozen slabs available. This is Australian made stock, not imported, according to the packaging.

This was at Glendale, NSW but not sure if it is a statewide or national clearance.

This works out to 21c per can, more than half the price of Costco deal previously.

PS - Link provides an example of item purchased. I could not find it on K-Mart's website and can't take a photo at the moment.

Wow if you had a shop you could make millions by selling this…!

    21cents -> $2 a can

    • +11

Well you'd need to move a lot of cans for millions but yes you could make some spare change

      • +2

        $1.79 profit.

Just need to sell 558,659 cans.

        Need a vending machine business!

Likely to be store specific based on short dated stock but a good find nonetheless

    • +1
    • Yep, definitely store specific and most likely due to short dated stock. These are also 330ml cans (still made by CCA), not the typical 375ml you'll find in a 15, 24 or 30 pack from Coles or Woolworths.

Can you please post me some?

    Poision in a can. Literally.

      *Cheap poison is a can.

Check the dates.. The sweeteners tend to turn to nothing as they get older.

  • +1

Just checked at Sylvania, Sydney Kmart. No $5 slabs. Full price at $15.

  • Does "more than half of Costco deal" mean Costco was >42c or <42c?

    • -1

"More than half the price" would be e.g. 40c for Costco

  • Post a copy of the receipt. It's definitely not a national price and would be out of date or close to code stock at the store.

Did you send your wife back to the shops for the other dozen?

    • Just laugh to tear when read this lol

      • upvoted because some grouch cant handle your happiness haha

Read the ingredients before drinking this stuff!

Some good reading on that page, thanks for the heads up. And oh… how I love the "irony section"!

"ads for Coke's Zero Movement appear on different pages of this site.
Coke helps pay for this site every time a visitor clicks their 'zero movement' ads"

      Pure. Gold.

First of all, there is no safe food!
Even pure water can be toxic, even fatal, just google water intoxication.
Here is a simple copy/paste mostly from wikipedia:
"Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate is a tart flavoring used in candy, soft drinks, ice cream and sherbet and is often added for its antioxidant properties. Sodium citrate buffers acidity in jams, ice creams and candy.

Aspartame has been found to be safe for human consumption by more than ninety countries worldwide,[26][27] with FDA officials describing aspartame as "one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives the agency has ever approved" and its safety as "clear cut",[28] but has been the subject of several controversies, hoaxes[3] and health scares.[29]

Initially aspartame was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1974, however, problems with Searle's safety testing program, including testing of aspartame, were discovered subsequently. The approval was rescinded the following year, but after outside reviews of the problematic tests and additional testing, final approval was granted in 1981. Because allegations of conflicts of interest marred the FDA's approval of aspartame,[6][30][31] the U.S. Government Accountability Office reviewed the actions of involved officials in 1986 and the approval process in 1987; neither the allegations of conflict of interest nor problems in the final approval process were substantiated.[6][32]

In addition, the Centers for Disease Control investigated in 1984 and was unable to find any significant epidemiological associations to serious risk or harm.[33]

Since December 1998, a widely circulated email hoax cited aspartame as the cause of numerous diseases."

I'm sorry to disappoint you but we are all more likely to die from something else than from a can(or more) of coke zero

Agreed, thanks for backing it up with actual facts.

I will continue drinking coke zero and tea/coffee with 2 equal.

Besides, either you die from cancer or from a heart attack due to fatness from consuming all that sugar. choose your poison.

      • Sure, if you want to statisfy your taste buds instead of looking after your health.

Think choosing no-calorie diet over the regular sugary soda is the smarter choice? Maybe not. A recent study found that diet sodas drinkers have larger waistlines than non-drinkers.

  • This is a solid deal because an Extra 1.08 Litres sure isn't worth for an extra $13 from the usual 24x375ml. Thanks for posting OP

Has anyone ever tasted out of date coke zero (especially out of a can)? I just bought some from my local corner store. My tongue was still tingling 2 hours later. That CAN NOT be good. Just sayin'…

    • It's just that you're tasting the other ingredients that were masked by the sweetener until it broke down. Aspartame is sensitive to heat. But yes there's nothing to recommend that taste of out of date diet drink. Sugared drink doesn't have this shortcoming but has the joules unfortunately.
