    • These are a great tag, they look good in a car or on your door etc.. not as industrial looking as our white tags etc.. :)

  • anyone have any ideas what to do with these tags?
I read the FAQ, I saw the youtube, but still unsure what good for me……

these tags used with nfc capable smartphone and automation software can do various tasks.

for example: stick one on your car dashboard, create a new cellphone profile for your car. when you are in your car you put your phone on the dashboard. the phone automatically turns off the wifi and enables gps.

stick one at your work desk so when you reach work your cellphone automatically checks you in at work on your social network accounts and disables notifications for unwanted applications.

have one in your home. you come back home. your wifi is switched on. . your notifications are turned back on and your alarm is automatically set for next morning.

these are few examples of its implementations.

      • So you'd need nfc to be on. How much faster does it drain the battery?

        • on the nexus s, galaxy nexus, and nexus 4: not any noticeable amount at all (I've had all three of those phones).

      • thank you for the example tricks, seem fun to use, great ideas! :-)

  • Pack of 5 Tectiles are currently $1 at Dicksmith, normal price $5. If you can find stock.

    • our tags work with all nfc phones.. including blackberry .. their is a reason they are running those out.. :) normal price is over $20 ,, they have been discounting for a month to get rid of the old tech.

      • *there

        • whoops.. lol .. was going to say that "their" tags are not nfc forum compliant, and changed the sentence last minute.

      • One could vouch that NFC itself, no matter what chipset you're using, is an "old technology".

        • true .. but the chips and inlays are improving all the time, read range, speed, size ..

  • Thanks for the quick support.. we are not doing any more deals for a while..

    Tony.

  • I really want to buy some. But I have no idea why I would use them. Looks like I'd have to get off my arse to find a tag and tap it. Nah … too lazy

  • Can you use them to do Sheldon's card trick?

    • lol.. hmmmm.. great idea :)

  • Awesome, thanks!

  • About half way through the deal all.. Dont miss out! We won't be offering a deal like this again on this site, we really had to work hard to extract these from the telco orders :) .

Cheers and thanks again for the Aussie support.. we appreciate it :) .. Up against some big players in this field.. Samsung, Sony, LG !!

    • this should sell out today guys..

  • Have about 30 packs left..

  • Still haven't received my last tag that was ordered in last offer.

Edit: Sorry but it wasn't from you guys.

    • ok.. we always deliver :)

  • Hi rep,

Just did a quick search on eBay

Some local eBay sellers claim their NFC tags are water resistant or can store up to 1KB compared to your 137 bytes at the same or cheaper price, also available in different styles.

What is special in your products compared to theirs?

Not NFC forum complaint but water resistant x6pcs .$9.98

    Or 12pcs for $14.98 http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?index=0&sbk=1&nav…

    NFC forum complaint x5 $9.95

Same brand but 1KB memory, x3 for $9.95

  • Hi

Yep.. A 1K tag is not nfc forum compliant which means that many phones dont work with them, they are older chips. They certainly hold more data but only useful if you have that much data to store like a Vcard with a lot of characters.

Water resistant tags are when a tag is placed onto a surface with the sticker acting as a barrier, really all tags are water resistant for a little while.. they all come undone unless they are PVC or plastic enclosed.

When we first started this NFC game we worked out very quickly that all tags are not created equal, we researched nfc inlays from all over the world and made a decision to stick with UPM/Smartrac. NFC inlays have a life and we are not risking our reputation on a 20 cent china tag :).. Smartrac are the largest nfc tag manufacturers in the world, we actually have distribution rights for Australia and NZ. We pay more to get our customers the right product.

and lastly we are an Australian based startup based in rural Australia (Albury), we have an office in Sydney and 4 employees, we think thats special :)

cheers and thanks for the questions :)

  • 5 packs left.. expires soon

  • What is the best why to program these tags?

    • tagster.it or nfc task launcher off play store
