I have some serious trouble trusting an accountant who can't spell "Imvestment". (Also, it's not that hard to do them yourself for free with eTax, so I really fail to see how this is a deal at all…).

I dont know why would you judge someone from their spelling? Its 0400 o clock in the morning and spelling mistakes are highly imminent at this time of the night.

Any ways in reply to your question.
1-Not everyone can do their returns themselves
2- going through a tax agent reduces your risk of being audited
3- Agent can help you maxamize your returns by discussing deductions without fearing the risks of being audited
4- business returns and investment property returns are deemed to be audited if submitted individually and there are high possibilities you would make a mistake in a claim
5- tax agents fees is tax deductible so you are potentially reducing your tax liability

How about sleeping instead of advertising?

@manno786 So unprofessional, just take the criticism and improve on it.

Imagine if you did any work for a customer at 0400.

Please compare the prices with other tax agents and then vote the deal instead of comparing us with an option thats irrelevant.

Inc. Gst? :) post a pic up n i ll beat it by 5% i am sure no tax agent offers this price for student returns

        Inc. Gst? :)

Your prices above are excluding GST, which is very misleading.

        http://static.wixstatic.com/media/3c02b8_90a0b3d6e157ce184d3…

No way would I trust an accountant that uses misleading advertising…

It is also illegal to not include the GST inclusive price.
        http://hwlebsworth.ensoconsultancy.com.au/trade_practices_fe…

Quoting GST exclusive prices will be illegal unless the GST inclusive price is also quoted just as prominently.

Seriously, if an accountant is not familiar with GST laws, I don't want to imagine the consequences of letting them do your tax return…

Some of us may run small businesses and the advice given by accountants is (mostly) worth it.
have had a couple over the years that needed to be flicked tho… very happy with my current one.

I'm quite sure that for $90, the advise you will get will not be worth it.
If you're happy with your current one, stick with them.

Hey guys before all the negs - have a look above he did state that he would beat an advertised price by 5%.

  • which city is this

      • It's the 'Green initiative', green 100 dollar bill ya'll.

    • i don't want to do it via phone. I expect i give all the paperwork and they work out and can ask me when need more infos, not a phone interview

I'm curious about the accounting skills of a firm that spell accountants as Accoutants in an ad where they are trying to attract customers.

What makes it worse if they were told their post had spelling mistakes and still didn't spot this error.

    Very bad first impression.

  • Website "click here of July specials". facebook "…talented professional accountants based in the Melbourne. "
Doesn't seem like a very professional firm if they cannot string a sentence together. I'll stick with my usual firm.

There are seriously too many accountants now.

They need to go leave their profession for better prospects. Some seriously think the CA is going to allow them to earn 60k a year after 3 years. But it's looking more like 50k a year maximum. Even warehouse workers get paid more and don't have to eat time. EATING time is the process of working until 9AM to midnight and only charging for 6 hours work.

I saw two run by the mill accountants setup doing basic tax returns in my shopping centre today.

    NOT Impressed.

Disclaimer: I am an ex-accountant in IT consulting now, earning much more with better hours.
