  • You should also add "Free 1 year accidental insurance included". Dont know why you missed that as a part of the deal offering. No suggestion as to how much memory this one has (16GB, 64GB, 128GB?).

    Overpriced tablet IMO.

  • Edited. From memory the only W700 sold in Australia is the 128GB model, it absolutely slaughters the Surface Pro for value and battery life. It's not overpriced in this regard AT ALL.

    • Fair enough, but if I was going to spend big dollars, I'd rather buy this http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/108208 than a tablet with limited functionality. Personal preference. Not suggesting this tablet is bad for that price point as I havent compared it to other tablets at that price nor read its reviews.

      • That HP Envy does not come with a 1080p screen, and it's not a tablet. The deal is also no longer available. I see where you're coming from, but one's a tablet, one is not. Of course the tablet is going to be a compromise, however it's 'value' is relative to those that use it.

Compared to the Surface Pro, which also has a 1080p screen, the value here is quite clear.

  • This also coming with a charging dock/ that doubles as a stand.

  • i love the w series tablets. but after some research a much better deal is the Lenovo Lynx K3.
Problem is you need a forwarding service to get a good deal as they dont ship to OZ.
i Use shipito which for about 50$ a year gives me a few addresses globally for stuff i find
cheaper o/s. I highly recommend them.
this is the link for the lenovo 64gb 2gb ram windows 8(full version) tablet:

should say the tablet features are good, but even greater for 350U$.

Not bad for approx AUD$440 delivered, but it has half the RAM, half the storage and worse resolution and no local warranty… Not in the same class as the W700 as it also has an Atom processor vs the W700's Ivy Bridge i5 Core processor.

Also, there are a plethora of local tablets that match the Lenovo on specs, and can be had cheaper.

  • +1

The smarty pants over at XDA Devs have got this to dual boot with Android, so makes this very tempting…..

  • I predict a good number of these tablets breaking in June next year ;)

  • Hmmm does this come with the dock and keyboard? Doesn't say it in the specs on the site. OW has it priced at $1,149 but shows the dock and the keyboard.

    • Confirmed, no keyboard or dock included!

      • I also asked and it appears you cany buy the dock or keyboard separately. I really wanted the dock with it.
