After some testing I'm pretty amazed by the reception on this phone.

    At my current location.
Galaxy S3 with Vodafone gets 0-1 bars.
Galaxy S3 with Optus gets 1-3 bars.
Asha with Vodafone gets 3-4 bars.

      Those are
      1) Locked to Telstra
      2) According to the specs, 850 and 2100mHz only

Not sure why I even bother.

  • I have this…it has Angry Birds trial pre-loaded.
    Awww yeahhhhhhhh!

  • these are litteraly the worst phone ever made.. you have to use the touchscreen and the touchscreen is useless

  • Cheaply-made phone but the "touch and type" concept has been great for my mum, and the quad band 3G saves me frustration when helping her switch providers.

The bundled browser is crap due to font size issues, so I recommend installing Opera Mini if basic browsing is needed.

  • 4" 800x480 Huawei G300+ supporting 850/900/2100 3G and ICS 4.0 is $99: http://www.dicksmith.com.au/prepaid-mobile-phones/vodafone-h… . $20 more gets you a more usable piece of gear. Often unlockable via vodafone page for free or $6 via Bagman.
