Not a bad deal with the 3D glasses. If you dont need the 3D glasses, the projector by itself can be bought for about $890 with officeworks pricematch. (I bought it about 3 months ago). Something to note is the fan noise is pretty high on these projectors if it's just above you. Just turn up the sound and it's fine though.

Don't confused the w1070 with the w1080st. This is the short throw model which costs slightly more.

    • Who did you pricematch against if you don't mind me asking? I've been looking at this model for a while now and that's a great price for it.

      • Officeworks theoretically pricematch any online/bricks and mortar store price. If it's an online store; they'll add the shipping and take the 5% off that.

I am well aware of this. I was asking the store Raged price matched against.

        • Your best bet currently is the Penta Group $925 plus shipping, take to Office Works and they will sell for this cost less 5 percent, unless you are in Sydney in which case the price will be $878.75. I used the price from Penta in February no problems from OWs. A really great projector in 2D and 3D. Don't bother with the Benq glasses, overpriced and uncomfortable, get the VIP ones or similar unless the budget is very small in which case SainSonic ones from ebay at less than $20 will do a very reasonable job.

        • Reddog888 the model you linked to is the non-short throw version.

The same model as the OP listed is:

Aw man, at first I thought this was $1099 before the $200 cash back. For $899 I was in my credit card was ready to go. I've been eyeing off both the W1070 and W1080 for months. But $1099 - even with the bonus glasses is just out of impulse territory for me.

Man, I felt like I've said that about 30 different things these last few weeks (cameras, jeans, PSVita… lol)

Still, a +ve for you rep, this is a nice deal and if stocks are still around I might just jump in anyway (will have to double check all my living room measurements to make sure it'll work. Last I checked, this short throw PJ will throw a 135" or larger screen from the distance I'm looking at throwing from, which would be ridiculously huge for my living room).

    • I agree & thought the same. I think the title is misleading as is.
Rep, can I suggest changing the title to $1099 (after $200 cash back).

  • Excellent deal - especially with the 3D glasses

Just popping in here again in case someone ever googles this deal up. I ordered one of these deals on a Wednesday and it arrived on Friday to regional NSW. Pretty outstanding. The $200 cashback was processed automatically at EVAtech's end, I didn't have to email or ring or anything. Equally great.

And of course, the PJ is fantastic. 110" cricket from just ~1.8 meter throw on the coffee table (utilising a small amount of zoom and unfortunately, a small amount of keystone correction - it's all temporary until I can get it on the ceiling). Only using a cheapo roller blind from Lincraft as the screen, but it is magic.

Anyway, it was a very pleasant purchasing process and I would recommend buying a PJ to anyone who is umming and ahhing over the idea. Just throw some of your tax return at it, haha.

I saw this deal and grabbed one yesterday and the staff there have been great, prompt replies to comminucation. Payment processed via DD happened practically instantly and questions about delivery and rebate have been addressed right away. Now if only I put the order through a few hours earlier I would have been able to use it this wet and dreary weekend.

Cant wait to get it, my only concern is that given it will be ceiling mounted slightly higher than the top of the screen I will need some keystone correction which will affect the quality. fingers crossed. Lookin forward to 120" HD action.

  • same as the previous buyers, Evetech sales staff have been very helpful and prompt in communication.
    A++++ highly recommended
