Aren't these BTY's the rubbish ones from ebay, no where the rated capacity.

  • I haven't bought any of these batteries myself but thought I would do a bit of research. From what I've seen these do not hold their charge well and without use will be almost completely flat in around 3 weeks.

That's not to say that these aren't any good or that they don't put out the shown mAh, just if its for something important pay a bit more and get eneloops.

  • I bought the BTYs from eBay for an amazingly cheap price with charger (I think it was about $30-$40 for 20 AA's + charger) years ago.

They worked good for about 3-6 months (some died quicker than others). The charge they held was like a regular cheap rechargeable - good for low powered devices, but die in higher powered ones (or didn't even work).

Great value for money if you just need the for things like your remotes/wireless keyboard/mouse - because they're about the same price as alkalines….but Yeah, I have eneloops now, nothing compares.
