Recommended upgrades:

95% Gamut Matte Display is very popular with our clients
128GB Plextor mSATA SSD
More information on the optional backpack here: http://www.logicalblueone.com.au/store/550-horize-koshka-156…

*Note build time on this will be 15 business days, due to the high popularity of previous deals our estimated build time has had to increase.

This is like the deal we listed last month but this has the included GTX765M 2GB card instead of the older GTX670MX card. Includes driver disc and support for Windows 7 and 8.

  • First!
But a great deal IMO, would buy it if I needed a new lappy now. How does the GTX765 compare to the 670/675?
Only real negative I can see with this deal is the lack of OS, but for the price I guess it is acceptable.

For such a serious laptop, you'd think that the SSD would come standard at that price.

    • I agree, but then we would have had to sacrifice something else in order to achieve that. This is a very low price for the model and specification.

      • i dont't know why you were negged, this is perfectly reasonable. user can upgrade to ssd if they want/need to

Any word on drivers that actually work being shipped with the laptop yet?

    • +2

The only driver issue that we had was with the previous deal with the GTX670MX card. We have resolved that issue for Windows 7 and Windows 8 can be applied for by contacting us for a USB drive with our image on that. If you selected Windows 7 or 8 at the checkout we would provide you with the drivers pre-installed and 100% working. Sorry for the delay in getting the functioning driver set for that card.

Good to hear that you are dealing with it.

If I need a new laptop I will get it off you guys.

  • Nice deal!
Hey rep what is the difference between this and
    http://www.logicalblueone.com.au/store/555-horize-p150sm-cle…

I mean not what you can put in it but the actual laptop. Is p150sm a newer model? Better cooling?
I really want to get at least GTX770M. I guess I have to wait for a Cristmass sale hehe

    • I'm not the rep obviously but the difference is the included Plextor 128GB SSD and the backlit keyboard.
I just noticed NO standard HDD in the $1599 model, which is odd, because I am sure I looked at that model last week and it included a 750GB.

I really want this laptop but want the backlit KB and SSD. Knowing my luck, I will buy the more expensive one only to see an OzB special drop a week later.

      • Yeah but I want to know differences between models of the laptops like cooling, ergonomics, materials etc.
I can only see that p150 has
CREATIVE X-FI MB3 SURROUND SYSTEM, RUBBER FINISH ON THE NOTEBOOK LID AND ON THE PALM REST.
where p151sm1b does not have that.

        • The majority of the notebook is the same however

P151 has plastic matte black painted finish. Standard keyboard layout and type. Smaller Power Supply and less support for higher end graphic cards.

P150 has rubber finish. Backlit keyboard with 7 colour options. Larger power supply and more support for higher end graphics cards.

        • Thank you mate I will keep that in mind.
I was just wondering where do you buy parts for clevo/horize/metabox laptops like graphics cards, hdd caddys, mSATA SSDs etc.
I guess it is a secret OEM channel so you can make some profits on addons.
Anyway I think your deals are the best and my next computer will be from you guys.

This a better deal than http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/106669?
Trying to find where the extra $150 is going.

The upgrade to the nVidia Geforce GTX765M?

  • I ordered this laptop when it was last posted on here, that was 17 business days ago, still haven't received any notification that its been shipped even after I rang on day 16…

    • Damn son - turn around times FTL

I bought the previous special one and I must say its fantastic… Few issues with the driver and I'm still waiting on the os to come like jack said in earlier post but when u deal with logical blue one they are always very very helpful and supportive. I would highly recommend others buy their laptops in the future. I just hope I don't run into any long run issues :). It took around 16 business days to arrive to me.

    • I also bought the previous deal with GTX 670MX. Have issues with the driver. They offered me an os image with the driver pre-installed as the solution. But it's only a temporary solution. It doesn't fix the problem when nvidia release new driver version and I might not be able to install the update. Still waiting for their reply. It's been very slow response from them. I am not sure if this version GTX 765M have similar issue with what I am currently having.

  • What's the min/max battery life like on this?

  • Awesome will buy this tomorrow!
