    This was a good deal while it lasted. The game itself didn't rate very well when it came out, but for less than 14 bucks posted, it's worth it just to add to the game collection. I suspect it was just a quick stock clearance, and new stock will either not come, or will sell @ RRP.

    I don't know if the Xbox version of this game was any different, but the PC version was definitely not worth it, even at $13. It was buggy and choppy, and EA refuses to release a patch to make it even moderately playable on a decent spec machine. The EA forums are filled with people attempting to get this game to play smoothly.

    Still, good work on the find and a plus from me.

        Just be aware thats only valid until the 31st of March. In my experience CD-WoW is not the fastest kid on the block in regards to shipping and it'll only be worse if they put people on a back log. I wouldn't buy the game with the intention of making use of the current EB offer.

        Thats not to say it won't remain at $30 or be able to be traded in at JB afterwards. Just be aware the game may take a little while to move anywhere.

      Mine also show pending. I believe this simply means the systems is waiting for someone to maunally confirm stock availability, and physically commence dispatch process on your items. I believe there should be stock, otherwise the 'add to cart' button should not have been re-activated.

        I have in the past had them run out of stock after a sale (Halo 3 at about $30). It took about a.5 - 2 months for the item to be restocked and arrive here. It eventually made it and the order wasn't canceled, but it certainly caused a large delay.

          what you pasted was how it appears in your cart, not in checkout. Hit the CDWOW! checkout button and it reduces the order (well it does for me anyway)

          edit: it may work diff. ( like you say ) if using the paypal checkout.

        Its a cheap way to get a PS3 or Xbox 360 elite :-)

        If I had 20 $5 DS games (bought from Dick Smith's 2008 mid-year clearance) and traded them in for 10 copies of GTA: Chinatown Wars, I "could" get $500+ in EB store credit.
        So for $100 I can get close to buying a PS3 or Xbox 360 elite.
        Simple :-)

    The copy I ordered this morning (4am!) has been dispatched, just got an email telling me so. The Madagascar 2 Wii game has been dispatched too. So at the very least, people who ordered before today's most recent "restock" should get their copies.

    Price dropped further to $12.29, can anyone tell me how long they waited to get shipping confirmation? I ordered 5 and hope I wasn't being too greedy, I'd be happy if I only got 1, but I don't want 'em to knock back my order. Was thinking about making another order for just 1 so they might just let that go, but I don't want to end up with 6 copies I can't offload lol.

    Hmmm… just put 100 in my basket & went through checkout - it takes it down to 49. So I don't think this indicates that they've got 49 in stock (as this was the number neosin quoted 3 hours ago) but rather the maximum you can order at once. My bet is that anyone who didn't order them last night won't get them.

      They should get them. In the past I had an item over sell and they just delay your shipping while they wait to restock. The price of the item I ordered also went up and I got it at the original sale price still.

      To put it this way, they wouldn't reactivate the "add to cart" button had they not been prepared to take more orders. I mean the site basically says they don't have the items on hand anyway with the "expected to ship in 7 - 10 days" so they must be getting them in, possibly as needed.

      edit: I ordered Resident Evil 4 with the 13% off and that also was "ready to ship in x - y days". Two days later, well before expected I got a notice saying it had shipped.

        That's exactly what I said previously. The system sould not re-activate the button, if it were not capable of taking more orders. They must program it so as it checks to see if this is an item that will be re-stocked in the future, and start taking more orders accordingly. At least I'm hoping so. However, it does seem like you can still order more copies, so they're gonna have a lot of work to do when they get in next(assuming they do honour people's order's, and not just cancel them).

        Also, JB Hifi site specifically states no trade-ins for multiple copies of the same game :( Can anyone confirm if you can at least go to multiple JB outlets?

          The JB no multiple copies thing only refers to the trade 2 or 3 and get a game free.
          Maximum 2 copies of any particular title when trading in for store credit.

      tdub. If you don't mind me asking, when did you place your order, and how many did you order in total? I ended up ordering 10 copies on Saturday morning, my order is still pending dispatch. I suspected they would pull this stunt of telling people they could not meed demands. They should not advertise at such a low price, when their system takes orders for items for which there is not enough stock.

    I'm complaining to CDWow and ACCC and Fair Trading. Same as with the Presets CD, it WASNT a pricing mistake. With this item they listed it at the cheap price, then it sold out, they then made it available again (why do that unless you have stock??) and then reduced the item further (was the second price also an error?) and then took orders and payment for this reduced price.

    Even their t&c state they will delete the item from their catalogue, which if they are taking orders then clearly haven't done.

    Good luck defending this one.

    Can I get a head count of how many people here actually bought one? Can I take PMs here?

    I have replied with a very thorough explanation of the facts and referred them to their own T&C which we all abided by when ordering.

    In addition to the extract from the T&C that has been posted above, note that it also states "You will become the owner of your purchases once we have received your full payment for such purchases."

    Anyway, ACCC and Fair Trading, here I come!
