  • Has anyone bought laptop from grays? thinking of getting this one http://www.graysoutlet.com.au/computers-electronics/computer…

    • +1

Most (or all) of the laptops are refurbished.

      • +1

Yeah just realised that too, lucky I didn't buy any. Need to work on my impulse buying behaviour ;)

    • Try their auction site.I've seen that laptop or similar for about $250-$300 on there.

      http://www.graysonline.com/sale/2132685/computers-it-equipme…

I bought a Hp laptop for my sister (refurb)about three years ago for $300.It came with a full 12 month warranty, looked new, took about 4 days to arrive and has worked perfectly ever since. Some items only have a three month warranty, but for many of those you can purchase a 12 month warranty for about 15% of the purchase price.ALWAYS read EVERYTHING in the ad-the condition of the laptop(e.g avoid 'quality failed' signs like the plague),the warranty etc but generally speaking,if the laptop comes with a standard 12 month warranty, you'll be fine.Make sure you figure in the shipping(about $44) plus Gray's 15 percent to see if it's a good deal. When competition for an item is fierce, and it starts getting near the RRP,you'd do better to look elsewhere.

bought the kenwood kslice toaster for $29.40 delivered. Coupon knocked most of the ridiculous shipping charge off so came to decent price for the toaster all in

    • This one looks awesome. It's a two slice though, and is $10 more expensive.
      http://www.graysoutlet.com.au/appliances-whitegoods/kitchen-…

      • Damn a 3kg toaster. Beasty.

      • Look up some reviews for it, looks amazing but not great at doing its sole function making toast.

        • I have never thought to read toaster reviews, but I guess that would have saved me from my old Breville that burnt everything.

  • +3

    No uses left?

    • Same :(

  • expired >:(

  • No uses left =(

  • Missed it!!!

  • Damn it,
    had it in the cart
    went to add more
    then bang
    code gone
    no more uses left.

    Doh

    • Yep, I had it in the cart thinking about if I wanted to buy or not. Then yeah, expired. I don't really need a toaster anyway.

  • No uses left

  • I have an alert on IFTTT to let me know if grays threads appear and this still didn't get to me on time. Darn it.

  • Bugger… mine expired as I was checking out…

  • REGOACT170726 17/7 26 uses only ?

    • +4

what do you 'need' to buy from graysoutlet

      • Buggered if I know. I just pile up on Sony Headphones whenever I see one of these vouchers.

      • Maybe some people have broken headphones etc and waiting for the discount, not like people who buy things just to keep them at home with no use.

        • +2

          Come on really?
I take it you missed out, I bought a cast iron grill didn't really need it since I have plenty of frying pans but hell. Thought you'd like to know.

        • +1

No I didn't miss out, got the one last time. Thought I'd come in and have a look at how many people missed out considering this time it lasted shorter than an hr.

    • +4

I think people who have multiple accounts with grays ought to be considerate of others.

  • What is meanning of this error"To use this voucher you must set a payment method"?

    • +1

You go all the way through checkout (past PayPal confirmation) and then enter it. You go back to greys to confirm the amount and enter the coupon, looks like its expired so give it a go next time or do it know so you know for next time.

  • Noooooo, I cannot live on OzBargain.

  • +1

    Yes it is your home.

  • I know voucher is expired, but this happened to me earlier, when paying via paypal, the amount comes up without the discount, will I get charged with the discount applied after the end of the transaction?

    • +1

With any website using PayPal you shouldn't proceed if the price on that screen isn't what it should be.

      • Note that this is not enough.
The merchant can still charge you more than is shown on the paypal screen.
Yes, I was surprised when it happened. Fortunately I had a screenshot and the merchant refunded.

        Others have reported the same.

      • +1

Thanks … I wasn't sure earlier so I cancelled and just paid using credit card.

        • Yeah it happened to me too, so i did the same.

  • So it turns out last time I was charged full price and they apparently can't refund $20. I personally won't be attempting to use these vouchers if they can randomly selected not work.

    • +1

Same thing happened to me, code was accepted but when I got invoice it said full price, tried to clear it up and customer service said there was nothing they could do as the order has gone through as full price. I swear the code was entered and accepted on payment. She said if I pay for shipping I can send the slab of beer back, thanks for nothing Gray's outlet

      • How did you pay?
If they have debited more than authorised, and will not fix it, can you do a credit card chargeback?
Then please lodge a complaint with consumer affairs.

You might do better just talking to a different rep.

      • If you paid by credit card, make sure you file a charge-back

Or when you receive the package, claim that you received the wrong product, that will teach them

  • Damn — missed again — waiting for the next one .. !!!

  • shipped.

  • -2

aware of their shipping charges, commissions and return policy. Once I bought something from QLD, and they asked me to send it back to VIC for a refund, shipping cost on me.

    • +1

      of course its on you.

      • Depends on the reason for return in all/most states surely.

If it was faulty for example then it ought not be on you.

        • pretty certain that aboutconfig would have worded differently if it was a faulty item. :)

  • quick question where to get these coupon in the first place???

    • then get sent randomly to new subscribers of grays online

Then which happen to randomly appear on ozbargain and get consumed within an hour =)

They are usually targeted promo codes but they have no way of making them email specific

      • Thanks

  • I think I am doomed to miss every single one of these T_T

  • I signed up for email deals last week and never got a email about anything at all so far. What settings do others have on the email notifications to get these emails?

I only have grays online selected and daily emails but no product categories.

I've even set up audible alerts for emails so I wouldn't miss the next one but I didn't get a email so I missed it anyway.
