This is the tent with the parents' retreat! The Tanami 6 is one of Spinifex's most popular family tents and no wonder, with three rooms to give the kids their own bedroom and another to play in and stack their toys and bikes. The polyethylene floor is 260 cm x 565 cm beneath a canopy and fly of strong 75 denier ripstop polyester. The fly is rated to 3000 mm. It is simple to assemble with two 16 mm steel poles for the awning and 11 mm Durawrap poles for the soaring 250 cm high central room. This geodesic dome design from Spinifex sleeps six and can cope year round with the elements. Four external entries and one internal door, which can be closed in cooler weather, provide greater airflow, and condensation is dramatically reduced with the improved Circle Ventilation system. With a 5-year warranty, this is a tent your kids can grow up with.

Features

Reinforced guy rope and peg points with shock cord loops for added strength

3 large rooms with sewn in Polyethylene floor and internal removeable walls separating the central living area from the 2 bedrooms to create privacy

Increased ventilation with windows and large mesh roof panels

3 bedrooms

Power cord entry and hanging hook

Windows on each end for extra ventilation

I'm going to kick myself for not buying one when it gets warmer…

Spinifex. Blergh. It's Anaconda's "home brand."
Better going with Coleman, Roman, or Diamantina for average tents.

    • Note a similar floor size and height from Coleman weighs almost twice the amount.

  • How well-sealed are your seams? Not very I expect. Doesn't matter how good the fabric is if you basically just knock it together on a sewing machine. it'll be leaking at the first hint of rain (like most cheapo tents).

    • I'd disagree. I've owned Black wolf to rays outdoors "home brand" style tents. Any tent these days is decent around this price point. It won't be leaking I'm sure

I've bought this tent before. The problem with it is that the outer layer only comes a bit more than half way down the sides. The inner layer is just a mesh. There is no protection against a breeze/wind. So you can feel the wind inside the tent when sleeping. And that is the wind from the other occupants…

If you want to separate parents and kids, better to get two cheap dome tents, and pitch them 50m apart.

      Yea 50m seems spot on
