Will this make my car go faster?

    • +10

Only if you buy the red one!

  • +1

    Dimensions (L*W): 1270.0 x 300.0mm

  • How many front wheel HP will these stickers add?

    • +5

      red one is 50hp
      green gives 10000Nm extra torque

      • +2

        That's over 9000!

        • my meter broke!

        • What? no way!

  • +1

    What's a parallel machine?

    • No idea

  • Multipurpose?

Isn't it just one purpose, to make a part look like its made of carbon fibre?
Or is the 'multi' part because it also makes the car look tacky ;)?

    • +1

It'll protect your car from all the incoming egg/key attacks

    • +1

you can use it to stick your paper on the fridge … cut in 2inch x half inch put cotton on the middle and you got a band aid …. have got lots of use …. you can also use it as a sealant :)

  • I've got a plain white car and I've often wondered what it'd look like with a couple black or blue stripes up and over, just to make it look a little different to all other other ones.

I thought I got over modding cars years ago but seeing this does make me think about it again, certainly cheap enough. UV stability would be a concern, something I notice they make absolutely no mention of.

REP - are you able to ask or find out if this material has been UV stabilized?

    • Why think stripes when you can go flames? ;)

      • If I ever had the urge one thing is for certain, those days are most definitely behind me. Basic stripes though …. I could still do that.

    • What's your concern regarding UV stabability? The colour won't fade or run if that's what your worried about.

      • Plastic or vinyl type products that aren't UV stable will fade, crack, go white and just fall apart after lengthy UV exposure. Ever had a potplant or bucket just disintegrate for no apparent reason?

        • +3

I'm not a potplant kind of guy. I've only ever had 3M vinyl and it's never had a problem, but then again it's a lot more expensive.

The OP would have to answer this, but my guess would be because it's colourfast and doesn't bubble under heat, you would be right. I'd only use it for interior anyway being a cheaper product.

        • The specs in the deal listing above do state colorfast but I wouldn't bet money one it.

I've got some 2500mAh NiMH China sourced batteries here that would be lucky to be 500mAh, they do tend to exaggerate (LIE) a little when it comes to the details but it's often the details that matter.

        • +1

Notice the domain name "LighTake.com" — may be indicative of their business practices: Lie, take (your money).

Will this help produce the 1.21 jigawatts needed for my flux capacitor?

    • +2

      jigawatts, is that a pokemon?

    • Save your money and wait for a good deal on a Mr. Fusion.

  • +4

Not sure why people are giving the OP shit. Depending on the application Vinyl can really change a cars look.

Carbon fibre trim pieces on the interior look especially nice in moderation.

  • +1

What I really want to know is how strong does it stick & will it leave sticky residue when removed?

  • +1

I'd stick with the quality stuff from 3M that the vinyl wrap guys use.

  • Hi rep, is the pic taken from the actual product you are selling? cause the roll looks more than 1270mm long to me!

    • In details: Dimensions (L*W): 1270.0 x 300.0mm

One in photo is an example. Above sized sheet maybe cut from a larger roll.

  • will this make my car from Honda to Porsche? which color will do it better?

    • +1

buy a Porsche then buy the Transparent one :)

  • Just put order some, Silver, transparent, black, white, and gold yellow. $11.50

  • should i or shouldnt i…

    • +5

i ended up wrapping my fridge with carbon fiber

      • inspiring

hhhmmm, might do the letterbox in it.

  • I just used a similar product to recover my sons bike seat… works a treat and its very forgiving in its application.

  • $2.32 is US dollar price. Comes to $2.62 AUS dollars thru paypal.

  • +1

Also great for arcade machine control panels and covering kids school books!

    • +1

I love how they show a photo of a car wrapped in the stuff and sell 1270x300 sheets.

  • This'll look great on the pulsie.

Just ziptie some new hubcaps over the old one, put a UNIT sticker in the back window next to my red P's.

    INSTANT CHICK MAGNET.

    • +1

Throw some bricks in the boot and the car is now lowered too.

  • Good price for the size, maybe not the best stuff out there but for the price it's a good deal, handy for wrapping stuff around the house.

  • I read it as "cat" stickers :(

  • Wanted to buy some but the site wont let me login so bought it for same price off ebay

    • Ditto.
      No Login - no buy.
Would have bought other stuff too.
You are losing sales here Lightake.

      • pita to register…
        drop ship disables coupon…
        so annoying, almost gave up.

    • Please email to [email protected] if you can't login.

  • Do you sell them in longer sheets then 300mm?

    • Pretty sure 300mm is the width, length is 1.27M

    Must-haves for rice boys.

    • These are for everyone, stick them on your fan blades that would look awesome.
Back of a scratched up laptop or scratched interior car plastic. Do you have a dodgy old bar fridge that looks a bit worse for wear? Wrap it in this stuff and throw some car sticker on it.

There's heaps of uses, I wouldn't put it on the outside of my car but then I like my car and care about its paint job.

      • Don't forget the parallel machine, everyone with one really should get these somewhat urgently.

        • you telling me there are still people out there who havent yet vinyl-stickered their parallel machines yet?

      • Sounds cool mate!

Might look into using this stuff on a guitar. Ideally, I want some kind of chrome vinyl.

  • +1

    dont need one… ordered one…

    • dont need one. ordered 3.

    • Didn't know what it was, ordered most efficient quantity to save on shipping. Ended up being over 9000 units.

      • +1

To save on the free shipping?

  • I'm wondering how my computer would look wrapped in this stuff, a little lazy to measure everything and work out how much I need though.

Any idea how this will be shipper? I don't want to assume it will be rolled and in a tube to prevent damage then find out it's folded and gets crease marks.

    • i didd my pc with it. (wanted matte black, but carbon fibre black was cheaper)
looks good imo, but a bit fiddly around the power switch, usb ports and i/o panel.

as for creases, they shouldnt matter. you can (apparently) flatten out any creases with a hair-dryer or heatgun.

  • I bought 3 and I only paid $6.27. The original listed price is $2.76. When I typed the code "LIGHTTAKECARSTICKER" (with double T), the price dropped to $2.4-something. Then I typed the correct code as above, the price dropped again to $2.09.

    • $2.49 (bulk rate 2-4) then the discount applied on top.

      • Thanks for the clarification :)

      • Exactly…buy more get more discounts!

        • Possible to do the bulk rate discount for buying different colours? Eg. 2 transparent, 1 black, 1 purple?

  • Try to cover the entire car hood.

Don't think it will cover the entire hood in one piece.

If not, there will be jointed line. Does not look good.

    Any other size available?

  • So, being serious here, is this good stuff to sticky tape a loose panel back onto the car? The panel is held on by, of all things, a plastic clip which has been ripped out due to a slight tree accident, but the panel it not damaged, only the clip (and replacing the whole panel costs a fortune). So currently held on by super sticky duct tape, but it dries out and cracks after a few months.

    • Personally I wouldn't trust it. If you wanted to go down that road then I would look in to some of the 3M stuff, far more expensive but I'd put a lot more confidence in that then some cheapo 'vinyl'.

I'm looking at this more as a novelty sticker sheet, I wouldn't trust it on anything that'll see temperatures above ~35 degrees and I'll be keeping it out of direct sunlight.
There's a possibility that this stuff could melt, fade and/or leave a sticky residue and then the quality of the vinyl and printing could be questionable.

  • Was looking for some of this stuff a while back and grabbed some off ebay from china for about double the price.
Does a decent job for decoration and application is pretty easy though I can't comment on how well it lasts in the sun/heat cause I used it on my bass (which I don't like to leave outdoors).

Do you have any deals on plain non carbon fibre patterned vinyl as well OP?
