  grrr must hold out on this. still can't find the keyboard dock for cheap, best I could find was $160 (actually this isn't even in stock anyway awks).

  but coupled with the dock you get insane batt life, great for light usage.

    Acer stand at Bondi Junction can order one in for you, I talked them down to 150, but the girl I negotiated with has since got the sack. Still take them a week to get the stock.

    Bite the bullet and get the keyboard, its awesome afaic, only issue is no 2 finger scrolling and gestures on the touchpad, might bother some but the touchscreen is only cm away

  Yeah love the W510, pretty much replaced my desktop, got the Microsoft Wedge keyboard from Office Works (Price matched at uMart) for $22 after cash back. Great battery life as it is.

  After read a few more pages from your link, also give us some insights on Acer's consumer service in general. Very BAD. No wonder some people avoid some brands…

  got one last time,not really effective as a standard laptop,also,touchscreen can be so hard to touch or type if you have less than 19/20 vision ;)

    Why hate on the deal if it doesnt suit you personally? Doesn't change the fact that its still a deal and suits other peoples application.

      Well, the fact is I don't hate the deal, just the brand's customer service, that's why I put a minus, it's personal view though, no big deal ;)

  Kinda love my W510, but hate Acer custoer service. I picked up the W510 from JB Hifi a few weeks ago and then bought keyboard dock the day after from the Acer Online Store.

  Tablet is very flaky on the Wifi despite firmware upgrades. Acer have advised RMA number to get the unit swapped over at JB Hifi.

  Of a mre serious nature is the keyboard dock as the USB port on the dock died the day after I got it.

  Four phone calls later I am still stuck as Acer Tech Support advise that Acer Online Store need to take care of it, but the Acer Online Store say that the Tech Support line need to fix it.

  Upshot is Acer has monkeys answering the phone and don't buy Acer from the Acer store, they don't know how to handle DOA/RMA.
