  • Looks like they're keeping that sale on a bit longer from that opening sale

    • Yes, that sale was store specific. This sale is nation wide.

Do any stores still stock UE900s? Not listed online.

    • I called in to check, not many stores have them in stock. Nunawading, Hobart and Shepperton are meant to have them in stock, but don't get your hopes up, I called Nunawading, and their pair is missing from stock, presumably stolen.

    • Picked up one in Rockingham WA. Apparently they had another. I had phoned ahead and got them put aside.

I'm very wary about expecting quality from any logitech product. Ive owned almost their entire speaker range, entire KB and mouse range, and a few headsets.
All of them junk, or misrepresented when you test them (4w satelites my ass, 3.4w and they start to clip the output!)

    Are these actually any good?

Given that you have sampled everything that they have produced why would you conclude your rant with a question about their quality? I fail to see your logic. Either you buy their products because you like their quality or features or you don't buy them because of a poor experience. I fail to comprehend why you would have continued to purchase their goods over an extended period when you were so obviously unimpressed by them.

My personal journey with Logitech has been quite good. Some items have been poorer quality but then I also paid very little for those items. I am happily using many Logitech products in my home and at work and recommend them to family & friends due to their reliability. Besides, who could resist BargainCrypt's specials (BC, where are you?)!

If you truly love music and believe that you need a quality headphone product then do your research and ask questions in the forums about headphones, headphone amps and sources. There are also many resellers on OzB who are willing to provide you with their expertise to ensure that you get the best match for your needs - I have been very impressed with the team at headphonic and I know that there are other companies who are highly recommended in our forums.

May I suggest that you don't buy Logitech heaphones with an expectation of eargasmic sound quality. They are a convenience product (except, I am told, for their high end gear which I do not have personal experience with). Spend a little more time and a lot more money and really learn what true fidelity is all about. Trust me, the investment of both time and money will be paid back in spades and your ears and brain will thank you for blessing them.

      Cheers, r3b3l66.

UE (ultimate ears) was a separate company taken over by Logitech

when they were independent they sold customisable earphones to audiphiles

so a normal logitech product they are not

    • I've had great experience with Logitech products. Like anything, just do some research before you buy. Looking around, most of my peripherals are Logitech, ie:

Z-5500s - awesome speaker setup for the price
      G930s - Great for gaming
COD branded KB/M - works great regardless of crap branding, was cheap :)

Maybe not "the best" in their product categories, but all perform well for their price.

      Thanx for the post OP.

  • Is UE200 any good?

    • Is UE200 any good?

I can report that the UE200vi are excellent, and great value at only $20.

      • If not using it with i-devices do I need vi? Can the controller control android phone? microphone, volume, etc?

    • My experience was they were harsh and tinny compared to the $50-100 models I was used to, so I was glad when one channel stopped working soon after purchase and had an excuse to replace them. I don't doubt they are much better than many alternatives in their price range, though.

  • Have the UE 9000's ever been cheaper than this?
What's the best logitechshop has ever had them for?

    • $299 i think, on ebay logitechshop. once you use wireless its hard to comeback to the wired headphones. damn but $250…

  • Is it UE 9000's that are the only ones that are 'around ear' rather than 'over ear' ? Looking for around ear headphones.

    • we wary it is BIG heaphone according reviews

Any headphones with loud leaking noise please don't wear in public transport. It's not cool, it's out. Only bogan still doing this nowadays. Go get yourself some nice in ear headphones.

  • Bought the UE200vi yesterday but have to return it today because of the plug is too wide to plug in if I have an iPhone case.

  • Picked up a pair of cheap 6000s for work. Plenty of stock at the Sydney one under Myer.

    +1 from me!

  • edit free shipping doesn't appear until you go the final payment page.
