  Do note the model no on the Aliexpress website. It is stated as SI1000 not SJ1000.

    This SI might be a chinese mispelling. Although searching the aliexpress there is a "true" sj1000 a dollar cheaper with free shipping ($74.01)

  Good deal for this particular camera, after seeing the Techmoan review i've been keeping an eye on this as a potential backup for my GoPros.

  I know the quality would be fine, but with its functionality would it really work as a convenient dash-cam? I know they show examples of this on the page, but it is really practical? No loop recording, having to manually go through and delete footage every other day would get tiresome. No auto power on or off? Does anyone know if it can actually record while plugged into USB power or is this only for charging? Also most reviews mention that the waterproof housing feels well built, but the other plastic mounts are total rubbish. So my worry would be that due to the unit needing to be plugged in constantly, mounting in a car would require use of the crappy plastic mount, which by all accounts could break off the first time i go over a speed bump.

  Anyone own one of these already that can comment, or should i grab this as a go pro backup and keep searching for a decent dash-cam?

    I'm pretty sure in the Techmoan video review he mentions it does do loop recordings and auto deletes old footage, as well as having auto power on/off and recording while plugged into USB power.
