These are really good. My three year old loves his.

Its only the fact that my daughter is less than one that is stopping me from pulling the trigger and getting another bike.

  • Bought 2, hope they're good!!

    • they are great….the kids will love them

  • Thx bro!
    Just ordered 1 :)

  • Thanks 2 here also, most site have good general reviews on balance bikes

  • Amazing coincidence, I was just looking for a balance bike. I checked out this one at Kmart:-

    http://www.kmart.com.au/product/28cm-(11)-balance-bike/121488

but it was slightly too big for my 2 year old, and the tires were foam.

    Hmm.

  • Thanks just ordered, my wife and I were literally just talking about one of these

It only took my 3.5 yo son a couple times to learn how to keep balance and push fast, one week later he's able to slide down the road without touching the ground if there's a slope. I bet he will be able to ride a real bike in no time once he's fully comfortable with the balance bike.

I also heard a lot how cool the wooden bike looks like from other parents, a real bargain for less $40. This is the best wheels I ever bought for him, highly recommend.

Speaking on behalf of my 4 year old daughter who switched from a balance bike to a pedal bike in 5 minutes about 4 months ago, I totally recommend these bikes.

Training wheels teach kids to learn to ride on an angle, whereas balance bikes teach them to balance properly. If your kids are a bit older take the pedals off the bike until they learn to balance.

Now I just need a good deal to come up on a kid.

Being an ozbargainer I simply removed the pedals from my sons 16" bike for instant balance bike .
Spent a weeekend pushing him from one end of the local footy oval to the other and he was good to go .
He was riding to school at age 5 :)
I've seen heaps of kids spend months and even years on trainer wheels . They don't really teach them anything .

  • I got mine today, they didnt give me the right plastic washers. Bloody annoying.

    • +1

I hammered the bolts through the plastic washers last time, it's just a once off assembling, so not too frustrating to me.

Thanks, I hammered the washers into the bearings and it seems fine.

        • Oh yes, should be inserted into the bearing, my memory fooled me ~~~ :P

    • Yeah, me too. Can't work out how it's supposed to work with the front wheel assembly - no enough room for the washers.

      • Make sure the pin is in the right way.

        I too was baffled.
