Are there any Australian trains in this game?

No but I'm pretty sure the game has a Metascore of above 100 and is the winner of numerous Game of the Year awards. It is easily the finest game ever created in the past 10 years.

Here is a sample of the fantastic gameplay that can be had by purchasing this goliath of a simulator series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsH9u7rghAk . Granted that is footage from the 2012 edition - just imagine how much more fun the 2013 edition is!

  • on GGG

    Don't you mean on GLG?

    • I think he was mistaking Green Man Gaming for Get Loaded Go. But looks like the title is fixed now.

      • GetGamesGo.com is the parent website of Get Loaded Go. But I adjusted title for simplicity.

        • Ahhh sorry i meant Get Games Go not Green Man Gaming.

On another note i wonder if they have the Brisbane to Cairns tilt train in this game :)

  • http://www.indiegala.com/ has Trainz™ Simulator 12 for about $7 with a ton of other games

    • Yeah but that's a 2 year old game and not the same game as Train Simulator 2013. Besides Train Simulator 2013 would have better graphics.

      • This is indeed the best train simulator graphics-wise, but that said, its graphics engine is years past due for an overhaul. Shimmering for example is a big issue due to its outdated AA.

The core game is often offered quite cheaply in the hope it will suck in new buyers of DLC (additional routes and trains), which is where the company that develops it really makes its money.

  • Thanks OP, I was looking for a change of pace.
The seller provides a key for Steam, worked perfectly.

    • Yep was first time for me too

I downloaded the demo for Euro Truck Sim 2. Pretty good as well but I stopped when I started to road rage lol.

So I bought train sim 13…

  • Still over $170 with all the DLC. Pricey even with the discount. I'd hate to think what the full price would be.

    I prefer the Farm Simulator.

    For those that missed it.

  • A nice way to get rid of stock before 26 September when they release the new version.

    • Not really if you read the bottom of the post it says "Customers who already own Train Simulator 2013 will be automatically upgraded to TS2014 technology on 26th September."

I got a copy for ~$3 a couple years ago in a steam summer sale and have been upgraded through each version since then
