Breakfast sorted with muffin and $1 coffee.

Great! For every other day there isn't free food on ozbargain

  • Do HJs not do refillable drinks anymore? :(

    • Yes in SA..

    • Ya they do in SA, what about other state ???

    • refills still on in ACT - I think it's a long term thing. I think they know that on average, a person will only refill once, and that costs them how many cents?

    • My local does but Perth CBD does not. I guess it depends on location.

      • Weird, Subi doesn't either. It's been quite a while since I've seen a HJ's with refills.

        • I think the Claremont one still does but I have not been there lately. But the refill station is never fully functional (diluted Coke, out of order Sprite, etc.)

        • Last time I went to Innaloo they did, about 2 months ago.

        • South Perth does.

        • Was at Karrinyup a few days back. Still free refills there.

        • Morley does.

        • carousel does

    • How can I get the refills? Is there a machine to use like in Costco? I've never seen that machine in any food franchise around my place(Upper North Shore, Sydney) so that I've thought that Australia doesn't have any refill and Costco is just exceptional…

      • +1

It depends on location (i.e. not all stores have it) but good luck getting anything free on the UNS of Sydney! hahahahaha

and FYI i live near there too so not a baseless claim. The UNS is where they charge…wait for it…17$ for a pad thai.

      • Auburn has it

    • A few stores in Melbourne still offer that.

    • I know the HJ's in bankstown has those self serve machines.

    • queenland dose but food court shop donot and cbd shop donot.

  • +2

I always get refills in NSW

    • I've noticed the ones around the city have either disappeared or have an out of order sign :|

      • The machine at the Hungry Jacks outside Event Cinemas (George Street) is gone, but they will give you refills if you ask for them. Seen too many people just randomly walk in with a cup and getting free drinks at peak hours.

        • Many, many years ago I remember at camp, year 6 we all basically got off the rest point and filled up our bottles at Hungry Jacks with free soda. I'm not sure they would allow it these days.

      • It's mostly because stupid teens use them to fill up on chasers and drink up on the bottom (George st branch)

    Here comes the gut again

I've never had to present a coupon when using drive through. When I order I say I have a voucher for what I am ordering and when I get to the payment window they just tell me the amount due without ever asking for the voucher. Have Done this at least 4 time in the last month.

    • +2

It all depends on which store, who you get at the windows, and how hard-ass the manager of the store is…

If you get a newbie who has to check up on every thing they attempt to enter, or can't find in the system, and you don't have voucher, then you attempt to break your diet, will surely end in failure. :)

  • There goes the diet, woooooeeeeee!

Just had the 2x Tendercrisp chicken for $6.95 instead of $7.95 which is on the coupon.
My friend #1 who also went got the same deal of 6.95
However my other friend (#2) got the manager at the register and was charged 7.95

This store was at the circular quay -First time having a tendercrisp! was good

Edited: Clarified I had two people with me not some fat guy going in twice

Moral of the story, always be Mooman's number 1 friend.

  • Can anyone confirm the states? I haven't seen this one come in the mail yet. Thanks!

  • So what you can do is show them an image on your mobile of this offer?

    • Yep, that's always worked for me at stores all around Sydney

      • Couldn't get any of the george st CBD stores to let me do that last time $2 whoppers were on.

        • If you dont wanna risk it, just print it out and cut it out.

  • Local hungry jacks (parklea, nsw) dont accept print outs or voucher image from mobile. They ask for original voucher.

  • Valid only in participating stores. Does anyone know which stores in melbourne/vic.

  • This may just be enough to tempt me to have HJs again…..after a 2 year self imposed ban

      HJ = Hand Job?s

I am still wondering why I have never heard anyone joke about the "Abbott & Costello" name comparisons. I am not entering into political debate about "suppositories" of any kind either.

  • +1

thanks! 2 whoppers for $5.95 sounds good!

  • +5

These ones are straight from the "horse's mouth" so to speak. They expire September 3rd though:

These voucher sheets on a regular basis and the penny pinchers menu easily rank Hungry Jack's a top the tree for fast food value… I won't bother going to Maccas anymore, burgers alone are too expensive.

    • $2 McDoubles
      $1 small fries?

Edit: Free Sausage McMuffins on Monday?

      • 3.95 medium cheeseburger meals after 12PM are good value too.

      • plus x2 chicken mayo, x3 Ice cream cones: @a fiver for value.

    • In a roundabout kinda way, it might seem the famous Loose Change' have
precipitate some other sales .. $3 X2 Whoppers appears pretty swell jacks.

Where's the two minis for $4 deal? I love minis…

  • +2

they stick these on the front of the cash register in my local store, just point my finger on any of them

have seen peeps who don't notice it and ordered individual whoopers :D

  • Nice one Ivan, it works at Central station right?

    • tell me if it does or not yeah Michael?

  • +1

The mega deal actually looks quite lame.

    • Their answer to macca's family dinner box i think. except maccas has mcnuggets in their box.

    • yeah, they need around 2 more burgers + some nuggest!

  • +2

I hate how the quality of the fast food is entirely dependent on whether the kid making it gives a damn, which usually does not. :/

Was at Singapore Airport, had one of the most amazing burgers of my life… at Burger King.
Contrastingly, KFC varies from visit to visit and venue to venue, with salsa twisters with almost no salsa in them (Only had one nice one from Harbourside KFC).

    • When was the last time you had a burger made fresh buns from HJ. I can say in my case never. We all know what fresh bread tastes like! Its definitely not at HJ. Their logistics/stock control does not allow it.
Same basically goes for meat patty. I have never seen flames behind the counter when ordering, so how do we get a freshly made flame grilled burger to order using stale bread and precooked microwaved patties? Burger quality is not dependent the kid making it. It depends on the ingredients they have to work with.
Maybe a HJ employee or soon to be ex-employee can spill the beans?

  • Over 10,000 clicks in 10 hours. That's a lot of Ozbargainers.

  • Why HJ doesnt offer $5.95 whopper meal lunch deals like Maccas do btw 12p-2p?

  • I know its not related to this deal but may I know did they still accept shake and win voucher now?
Terms and condition stated ends on 7/8/2013 but the app still generate vouchers??

    • I'm not too clear on them but afaik the only change is that the free medium frozen cokes must be accompanied by a purchase.

      • Does anyone else seem to get frozen cokes almost every time? Not such a winner in winter (up there with the % off country burgers offer).

  • Nice deal.. Just as an aside, they have the $2 breakfast muffin promo at the moment, so you don't need the coupon if you're just in it for the brekkie like me.

    • +1

not in Melbourne (at least Southern Cross)

but the printed $2 voucher from the OP worked fine.

  • can I just Print this? and they will still accept it?

  • is hungry jacks buy one get one free promotion going to be a permanent thing or is it going to end sometime?

  • +1

Hungry Jack's does broil meat and does have fresh buns delivered weekly, multiple times for 24/7 stores. And if you work there its 50% before, during, and after your shift off food and 25% any other time, up to $20.

  • -6

I have just received these in my mail. I won't use them so if anyone wants to swap them for a couple of entertainment vouchers, PM me.

  • Thanks OP for the deal! Am a big fan of HJ!

  • no free food this week. looks like HJs again for tomorrow lunch :)

  • If I get another zit faced teen telling me I gotta "print that off" grrrrrrrrr

    • +1

..ill just go down to the library and print 10 off for 10c

  • does anyone know what the BOGOF burger is going to be for this month?

    • Grilled Chicken Burger (5.25 in NSW).

  • Just found out you can no longer upgrade these coupon to large.

  • +1

I don't like the manager in the HJ store on Pitt St near Park Street. She doesn't even want to give you the deals!

    • Show her your comment on this link and she won't like you either.
