With this offer, I signed up through the link however on the last pages conditional ones it shows the 1.99% & 2.99%. The main page had 0% on it as long as I did through the 0% link then its all good? Did it this afternoon took a few minutes.

After conditional approval, need to send 2 pay slips to them which you can email them.

  • damn, I got this card already.

    When click Apply Now:

"Online application takes minutes to complete, get an instant online response. If successful, you will be offered a Classic, Gold or Platinum card, depending on your approved limit."

  • +1

When do you provide details for balance transfer? I signed up yesterday and there was no mention of the balance transfer during application.

    • +1

For me it was on the last page, top right there was an option to input the transfer.

    • @deal88 as per @2stroksmokr's comment, after you click "assess my application" your online credit card application will be assessed and if successful you will receive a conditional approval along with a conditional limit eg: $7,000 (note: You have the option of requesting the limit be changed, but will likely have to provide further evidence that you can support a higher credit limit)

here is a screenshot of the screen with the balance transfer info on it: http://imgur.com/YDaI3q2

To the top right of the screen it will say

"paying too much interest on your other credit cards?

To transfer your existing balance(s) to your Bankwest Zero MasterCard, please complete the details below."

You will then need to enter your existing credit card number(s) and the amount you are transferring on to each card.

A few notes around Bankwest's balance transfer terms which you might find helpful:

      • we do not accept balance transfers from any Bankwest credit cards
only Australian issued non-Bankwest credit/store cards can be balanced transferred
      • you or the Additional Cardholder (as relevant) are not in default of the terms and conditions applicable to the account from which the transfer is made
      • the request will only be processed up to 95% of the limit applicable to your card at the time of processing. If you request a higher amount we will only > > process up to 95% of your current credit limit
      • we will process the balance transfers in the order that you request them and we will not be responsible for any delay or any charges in connection with > processing a request for a balance transfer
      • we will not close a card account held with other financial institutions. If you wish to, or are required to, close a card account, you will need to arrange this
      • a request will only be processed to your card account once the card has been activated
  • @2stroksmokr this is a known issue. So long as you apply via the CreditCardFinder.com.au website you won't have any trouble and will receive the 0% p.a. for 9 months balance transfer.

@koozilla - that's correct. You do need to meet the application criteria in order to receive the offer.

Apparently this bankwest link provides the same deal?

    http://www.bankwest.com.au/zerospecial?promocode=aff748

    • Is that a question or a statement?

      • Question, cause I am not sure if it is the same deal.

    • +2

      this is the CORRECT link

      http://www.bankwest.com.au/zerospecial

      • So are they the same? Why did OP say that it is only available through them?

        • They probably get a commission or something, free advertising perhaps?

Good job finding that link too, would rather just apply directly.

        • Creditcardfinder will still get the commission even with the direct link.

Don't miss this limited time offer, exclusive to creditcardfinder.com.au

It's an exclusive deal. Bankwest gets the advertising, CCfinder gets the commission.

        • @davidl2 @wildstone @ibfragalot @f4te Just a note that the correct link is actually http://www.creditcardfinder.com.au/bankwest-zero-platinum-ma…. It is an exclusive deal with CreditCardFinder.com.au and you need to access this offer via the CreditCardFinder.com.au website.

I just saw and ad on tv for this…? Hardly exclusive.

      This one has annual fee.

        And different bank.

This card coupled with a 28 degrees card = excellent overseas travel combo.

Purchases on bankwest - interest free period and no surcharge.
Cash advances on 28 degrees - no fees or surcharge.

The rewards card is reasonable too.. Coles vouchers were cheapest spend/reward ratio I could find on a non amex card.

  • +1

does this also apply to existing account?

    • +1

In my experience with bankwest, next to no chance. I tried earlier in the year to negotiate my way into an intro offer with them by changing card type… No avail without cancelling and reapplyihg.

    • +1

does this also apply to existing account?

we do not accept balance transfers from any Bankwest credit cards
only Australian issued non-Bankwest credit/store cards can be balanced transferred

  • +1

Rough idea on the minimum income level required?

    • @sunnskyu the minimum income used to be $65,000 at one stage but now it is a matter whereby each application is assessed on an individual basis to determine whether or not you are able to service the credit card based on your financial situation.
