    wtf.. so cheap!
for ppl want to buy, go to the store and try hold them, compare this with S3 if you have small hand

    • +5

That because the note 3 is coming out in few weeks time.

  • You're kidding me: On Hold: Mystery Debit Verification.

    • "Please contact the Customer Service Number located on the back of your credit card and ask for any unposted amounts from Unique Mobiles." - Anyone else ever had a company do this? I thought they just wanted to take my money and give me the product.

Edit: Was easier then I thought :P to get the amount.

      • I had to go through the same thing when paying by Credit Card with Unique Mobiles. No hassles at all. Item was promptly dispatched after the debit amounts were verified.

  • Boyfriend broke his S3 a few months ago (no warranty) and is unsure as to whether he should repair it or sell it as is and buy a new phone. I think he'd like this deal, but I can't call him… broken phone and all. Fingers crossed it's still available at 5pm.

Thanks for not showing a photo of your cat

      • +4

I feel I'm being mocked, but not quite sure what the reference is… ?

        • you're being mocked for telling us your life story (- pic of yr cat) :)

        • +14

Phew, I thought that was it. I thought maybe I'd gotten drunk and tried to upload a picture of my cat to ozbargain at some point, or something.

Boyfriends life story, not mine. Mine is way better. Has cats.

        • -4

          Cats!

  • Ummmm Why is S3 4G still so expensive? $495 + a case?

    • Its not on special yet. Wait till tomorrow to find out what price they will sell it at.
That listed price is just their usual RRP

  • +2

    Word of warning: $15 cancellation/amendment fee…

    • +2

No wonder they're called "unique" mobiles, no one else charges a cancellation fee lol

      • +1

Or a fee to change your details…

    • +3

Did a bit of research and came across this

"If there is less than 9 dead pixels discovered on LCD screen – Item/s will NOT be considered as DOA as Manufactures do not offer repair, replacement or refund, unless the dead pixels are at the centre of the screen."

      And

"If a parcel is lost in transit, the buyer must open an investigation with the shipping carrier. Unique Mobiles will only arrange replacement of the order once the investigation has been completed and providing the buyer selected transit insurance at the time of the initial purchase."

      A bit risky

As mentioned earlier in this thread - purchasers need to be aware that the Galaxy Note 3 is going to be announced/released about the first week of September (along with the new Samsung Galaxy Gear watch!!)

    Looking forward to this

    • the s3 didnt seem to have much of a drop when the s4 was announced and launched. I doubt the note 2 will drop much more, unless they discontinue and clear stock. Thoughts?

      • this is already priced dropped and clearing. I had a note 2 from harvey which had software glitches in the optus firmware, sent back to samsung. after a long time they offered me a s4 because they had no more note 2 4G unbranded unlocked. this was samsung hq in sydney

  • how long they ship this aussie stock? any experience before?

  • Does "aussie stock" mean the advertised items are supplied by e.g samsung australia?

Or does it mean "we have grey imported product in stock in australia" ?

    • Genuine A-Tick phones = Australian Stock (Next Mobile, Allphones, Telechoice, etc.)
Non-A-Tick phones = Hong Kong/Overseas Stock (Smooth Mobiles, Mobile City, Blue Fly Mobiles, etc.)

      Says A-Tick phone…

    • it is AU stock, ie. you can claim GST in airport

      • I just called to confirm includes gst

I should not keep viewing ozBargain again. I have one iphone4 (in Apple Care warranty), one iPhone4S Black, one iPhone4S White, HTC verocitcy 4G and HTC 8X already. All of them were bargains when I purchased them. I might give myself a good reason to resist this deal but my effort has been failed again. Order has been made!

    • +5

Think of it this way, .. With every purchase you make our economy moves forward, we need more people like you :) Ozbargain definitely has a strong foot print on the gadget economy of Australia..

    • Consumer industry loves a hoarder with money to spare. Consider yourself loved.

If you're looking for someone to confirm that you have an issue, the answer is 'Yes'.
If you're looking for somebody to make you feel guilty, I reckon I can manage that as well.

Couldn't help but think about a young lass I know who finished the '40 Hour Famine' over the weekend. When it comes down to brass tacks, it's hard not to ponder just what the proceeds from all of those unneeded smartphones could do.

There you go. Hope that helps.

If you're looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money… but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career.

    • If you are planning to sell HTC 8X, pls let me know :-) since I missed JBHifi deal.

  • Adding a microsd cart will increase shipping with 8 dollars :S

The Note 2 is cheap because it has issues.
    http://www.galaxynote2shutsoff.com/

I've had it shut off plenty of times in my pants pocket just because I kneeled down too fast.

    • +1

Using it for one year..never had this problem even once..

    • Sounds like the battery is not secured properly. Tried taping it down?

    • +1

I've never had this issue but i've been having problems with my "screen rotation" feature not working sometimes. Would always have to restart the phone to get it working again.

    • mine still going good.with no shut off issue. n7105t
      getting a bit slowwwww though.

    • Had my Note 2 for 7 months, still running great. I guess I got lucky (2nd time around).

FWIW, I had a horror dealing with UM (bought a Note 2 through them late last year which was dodgy (had screen issues, LED didn't work, kept restarting itself). Long story short, was forced to lodge a Paypal dispute to get my money back due to UM's poor after-sales service. When I got my money back, bought a Note 2 from eGlobal and had no issues with it).

Great price for a good phone, just hope none of you have to deal with UM's after-sales service department.

  • Two people I know had a shattered screen after one drop. $300+ to replace the screen. They both still ended up buying new ones because they like the phone. It is a good value but need extra care when handling it.

  • +1

WOW! Last 2-3 days I've been looking to buy one and here it pops up! lol! If I use the promo code is that the price it'll be tomorrow? Basically should I wait to buy it tomorrow? the note 2?

  • not sure if I should get this or the S3 - not sure what price they will have it for tomorrow. Whats the cheapest the S3 has been in the past? I think I remember Vaya selling them for $400…

    • Note 2

    • How about a note 8 LTE for $30 more?

  • Same here, can't decide.

Will the S3 be Aussie stock as well?

  • Could not resist and just ordered one
Now it is time to hunt a bargain cover….

    • Let me know if you find one that also has a battery in the cover!

  • -2

Wow so cheap. Price drop so fast.

Faster than I thought it would. I knew Note2 price will drop but not that quick!

Android handsets seriously don't hold much value do they?

    • Troll.

  • Sold out…

  • +2

    Damn! I am late

    • As am I :( Grrrr! My kinda luck :( Anyone else got any recommendations on where else to find one for about 520-550 with fast shipping? pref aussie stock

  • Damn - missed out :/

  • Any updates on what this morning's deals are?

  • Already running, sold out of Galaxy S4 already.
