  • I love Orange! It's the colour of Ozbargain!! Just ordered one :)

    • +1

      Matches your Toaster?

    • It's not just orange… it's OUTRAGEOUS orange… ;-)

  • I have a $5 woolies mixer which has been going strong for 7 years. In what world is 70 bucks a bargain? Ok so RRP may be a lot more, but that just means it wasway overpriced in the first place.

It is a fashion statement though…

  • How do these compare with the kitchenaid hand mixers sold for 100 at Myer?

    • Choice scored the KitchenAid 93 while the Kenwood recieved a 91 (although the Kenwood had best overall mixing performance).

Should be noted that much cheaper alternatives like the Sunbeam MixMaster and Breville Handy Mix scored 91 and 90 respectively too.

      • I bought a Kmix one a few years ago for $120, before the Kmix brand got popular. Had to order from eastern states as the shops did not even stock them in WA. These Kmix mixers are much better than typical Sunbeam or Breville ones (the $70 ones, dunno about the expensive ones), which my wife turns into a smouldering heap within a year or so. The Kmix has a metal body and 400W engine, which is really good.
        $70 is a bargain.

        • Yeah 100% Make it so; I forgot to mention that Choice reviews don't take into account longevity or reliability so that is where the extra $$ might really come into its own.

Having said that the Sunbeam I mentioned looks pretty sturdy: https://www.sunbeam.com.au/Food-Preparation/Mixers/JM6600-Mi… and for a much lower price ($44+ shipping @ApplianceDirectOnline).

        • But it's plastic, and 350W versus 400W. So would not be as sturdy I expect (although the picture may look similar).
Keep in mind that Kenwood has a long history of making professional mixers for bakers (huge floorstanding ones).
