I received an email from these guys, MegaBuy, and as usual, i did a quick google. the price seems good and i also found a one-month old post on ozbargain for the same airport. that deal was marked as expired.

    Yep, make sure they have stock this time…

    If you want quick, easy and reliable they're good value. Bought one in the last sale to replace an old 2nd gen model. It's now a client to the new 5th gen with all the devices in my media room hanging off the 2nd gen. Works like a charm, configured in 30 seconds flat.

      You gain a 4GB flash drive, but lose free delivery. Delivery for me is $15.95, so unless you can pick up, it's a worse deal.

    Whats the different between this and the newer AP Extreme? Is it just that this one does not support AC?

        As nothing is mentioned you should expect a new one. Apple is most likely cleaning them out.

      I'll agree with this - last two orders I placed for items showing "IN STOCK" sat on order for a couple of weeks … until I asked where they were. Both times were told "we had no stock", and they magically arrived a few days later (one took over a month from date of ordering).

      They might be cheap, but their delivery times & customer service are a joke!

      impressive, I see some tall peaks and….. stuff! Mind explaining how its better than your previous router?

      Im thinking of replacing my Telstra provided Cable WIFI modem with this (wifi only) - im hoping its a heap better with Wifi throughput and strength.

        This replaced a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH, I'm finding that the ADSL sync between the airport to be alot more stable, plus the advantage I now have a 5Ghz WiFi Network perfect for the mac book I have, speeds will be alot quicker :)

        Pretty impressed for the $99 price tag,

    I am very disappointed on Airport Extreme Base Station which failed working on the delivery day. I went to the Apple store apple store yesterday morning and apple genius bar diagnosed that lagging wireless IO downstream and upload average to 1.02 Mbps behind ADSL2+. i can't even open internet pages smoothly. this unit is not fit its purpose. i wrote cup of email to Megbuy. also spoken the the return staff this morning who is very rude on the phone. they are very reluctant to issue me authorisation return number so, i have no chose take this matter to CTTT. I will never buy anything form MegaBuy agin which is bad business ethics and poor return policy.
