Garmin Forerunner 10 GPS Watch Black & Red (Male Version) $124 at The Good Guys

20

Pretty Self explanatory.
GPS entry level watch watch
The Good Guys are offering this watch at $124 plus $2 dollars postage to 2289, postage price may differ for others.

These watches sell for $149 at Rebel Sport.
I was unable to find the watch in store at The good Guys, even though it says pick up available.

You might be able to price match for either the male versions of the watch (black band and Orange Band) or the female versions (Purple, Green and Pink) at Rebel Sport and get in store warranty returns.

  • No heart rate monitor?

    • Nah Pretty sure this model doesn't use/ can't use any of those accessories eg. foot pod, HRM.

    • +1

this watch doesn't do anything that a smartphone with any running/exercising app wouldn't do

it doesn't allow you to connect any accessories to it whatsoever and IMHO is pretty useless.

all it does is allows you to run without your phone, but a flipbelt fixes that anyway

      • Loss of 700 dollar smart phone > then loss of 124 dollar watch.

But really it depends on the individual and a whole host of aspects such as how fast you run, whether you have a smart phone and smart phones don't like sweat and force.

        • a $50 phone from coles can do what this watch does with a tracking app

as i mentioned, a flip belt will hold the phone firmly around you and not bounce around which is the usual deterrent to using smart phones

i don't know why you're so defensive of this deal, the points i'm making are very valid and most people get these watches for the heart rate monitor, which this one doesn't have

  • I though harvey norman were offering a buy 1 get 1 free deal for a certain GPS watch with similar features>?

EDIT" yep, last week this was BOGOF http://www.harveynorman.com.au/promos/super-saturday-on-now/…

    • That doesn't have GPS

  • What options are out there? Mum was looking for something. She's not so good with technology (she gets confused by her touch phone, so a running app is looking like a poor solution)

    • This will do the job mate, I've only had experiences with Garmin but the link above that i have in the description will help you… it has loads of reviews.

  • I have this watch and it is good for running/walking to know how far you have gone, calories burned and also has a pace function.

In my opinion much better than using your smart phone to do it, also works as a watch.
