New batteries are quite expensive for these tablets, and the batteries in these refurbished units could have been well used. Does the warranty cover the battery?

    What's the condition like?

    • I would also like to know how refurbished this is. Will you be able to tell the difference between this and a brand new product?

      • I would describe the condition as "as new". Happy with purchase.

How long does it normally take for the new generation to drop in price?

I'm itching for a tablet although I have no actual need for one. Don't know if I should buy for $149 now, or wait for the Windows 10" tablets with built in MS Office H&S to drop to $200 or so.

    • Go to a store and see if what you want/need is a 10" tablet or a 7" tablet (or something in between), they are very different beasts…

  • Very tempted, great deal.

I already have one but my girlfriend wants one too.

Ill have to talk to her about it later if your not sold out by then.

  • I got it.32G & Leather Case. Just $189. It is great deal for me..Thanks!!

  • good price, but I cant justify it whilst I have my tab 7.7… Maybe buy it for a Christmas present though?

  • I got the 32gb 3g version from these guys a fews weeks ago and couldn't recommend them more highly. You'd never know it was a refurb and delivery was very quick.

As for the nexus itself, I only got it to take to work on nightshift but I've actually been using it more than my iPad at home since it arrived.

  • With all the reported problems of the Nexus 7 2013, even with the update, and the ridiculous au pricetag, I am so tempted to get this.

    • I don't have any problems with mine.

  • OK couldn't resist and bought one. I already have 2 of them in my household and are very happy them. Let's see how this one goes. I will upgrade to Nexus 7 II or whatever when the price falls below $200.

    • mine arrived this morning, very happy with it so far, have already upgrade to the latest 4.3, no problems.

  • Be very careful about updating these to 4.3 OTA as they will almost certainly 'brick' the device.

Happened to me and it took several hours to try and fix by reflashing the new 4.3 update via a toolkit.
