      Don't see how they could stop you, even if your nominated "Dad" looks totally different to you, you could just say you are adopted, or that he's your step-dad. If you say step-dad, your "Dad" could even be younger than you!

      I think JV asks a reasonable question. JV could be an orphan, and currently be a ward of the state, and wants to give something to his supervisor. Not everyone has a traditional family structure.
