ACDSee Family Pack USD $79 - Lifetime License of Acdsee Pro 6 and Acdsee Photo Editor 6

30

Seems like a good deal. I used to use ACDSee Pro before I migrated to Lightroom. A pretty powerful photo suite for those people who like an alternative system to lightroom. Seems like a good price too. I am not sure of the expiry date of this offer.

ACDSee? Any deals for Winzip or Winrar? Or Norton Commander? :D

    • I was also surprised they are still around.

    • This program was the bomb in 2003… A good no nonsense viewer

To be honest, ACDSee was probably the last photo browser/manager that I was 100% satisfied with, although that was ten years ago. Pity they're only offering the whole pack. I'd happily pay $30 for a lifetime ACDSee license, but don't need the rest (I am yet to be able to replace Photoshop, GIMP and others just don't cut it).

    • Agreed. I am only on Photoshop CS5 (it does what I want and need) and being on a mac I still use iPhoto for actual management. I find the basic design of ACDSee to be no better than, say, something like Picasa, or XNView. I've no desire to pay anything for it, really, but I'm glad they are reducing prices, its always been overpriced except back in about 1997, when it was just a viewer, and free (IIRC). Even back then I chose to go with Paintshop Pro which was very basic.

      • Grabbed the trial and liked it, still as fast as ever, even when accessing large folders across my LAN. Lack of facial recognition is pretty disappointing though, considering it's a standard feature of almost every competitor.
