MSY - MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660ti OC $239 + Delivery

140

Searching for a new Video card and stumbled across this. No stock at my store so hopefully someone else can take advantage.

Cheapest 660ti on staticice is $279. Excellent card, and once the 8 series comes out, buy a second on the cheap and SLI for a real powerhouse!

  • MSY please do a deal on GTX 770!

  • Pretty good deal for 660ti. Too bad I bought the ati 7850 when they had it on sale before and still too soon for another upgrade

  • I am tempted. Should I replace my gtx470 with this?

    • Tempted to replace my 9800GTX

  • +1

Has always been that price though.

  • I bought one at this price a month ago to upgrade my 5770, great card, fairly queit and runs everything on high at 1680 x 1050 especially playing World of Tanks.

  • The aesthetics certainly leave alot to be desired - especially compared to the 560 ti offerings MSI had.

Not that comparing to a twin frozr is really fair in nearly any situation :D

even the model up from this one looks pretty crap http://msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=11305

But hey I guess it's how it performs and how cool it runs rather than looks that really count :)

    Nice find OP

    • I've got the twin frozr 560 ti, how would this compare to it performance wise. I've been thinking of an upgrade.

      • Not really worth while. It is of course better, how much better remains to be seen in real world use across several games.
Seems to be pretty beneficial in crysis 3 http://kotaku.com/5987627/crysis-3-performance-test-graphics….

But I'm running a 560ti on my old q6600 and get respectable frames in crysis 3(30-50) on a custom graphics setting with 2x msaa (set in nvidia control panel + triple buffer and vsync). No way would I consider going to a 660ti I just don't see it as worth it.

Edit: on a side note, Crysis 3 looks amazing even on low anyway.

        For comparison:
I had a 768mb gtx 460, and upgraded to my current 560ti 2gb twin frozr. Most games managed to bump up a setting ie from high to very high. But even saying that, very high in those games was actually playable on the 460, but was just that little bit smoother if I dropped it back to high. The improvement was pretty minimal all round.

The only game that was really (REALLY) worth my upgrade was Skyrim, since modded it was coming to 30 second stand still in near area's due to the limit in vram.

        • It depends on the resolution you are running as well :)

      • I'd say its worth an upgrade if you want to buy something now. According to 3dmark11 you will get a very good performance boost http://www.overclock.net/t/1295401/sli-gtx-560-ti-2gb-vs-gtx…. Another option might be to SLI two 560ti's if you can find a second one on the cheap….

  • Good timing… my old Gigabyte GTS250 died this morning. :)
