Please mention $29 MEL (Avalon), not a deal for Avalon… Normal price is $35

    • +3

Credit where credit is due. $6(17%) off and $20 cheaper than Tulla. Good for the folk of Geelong.
Those $1 and $9 fares are few and far between.

  • Sydney - Gold Coast $39

oh The memories of getting return flight SYD-OGG for $20 from previous $10 sale

    • +6

OGG? Wow that would have to be one of the bargains of the century! Sydney to Kahului, Hawaii for $20 return!

  • +3

    Sorry!

    Thanks for your search.

We're experiencing very high levels of demand on our web site at the moment.

Please come back in 60 seconds and try your search again.

    OZBARGAINED!

Got Perth to Hong Kong return for $470 which is a good price.

    • Lol that's a GREAT price, well done!!

      • Try MEL-SIN vv for $350!

    • what were your travel dates??

  • +1

sites slow as crap, can't book jack… you'd think companies would learn to increase bandwidth before a sale goes live

    • +1

It's not bandwith its database limitations

  • +1

was struggling to find the travelling dates, bestflights.com.au (via google) helped me, for syd-goldcoast it is coming up in Nov
    http://www.bestflights.com.au/cheap-flights/from/sydney-to-g…

  • Good prices… Terrible site. Timed out multiple times!

  • for the past couple of hours, i'm geting "Sorry" page

  • Tried to book a SYD/HNL many times totally useless just keeps timing out, at one point got to payment then it all went belly up, contacted them said try again!.

  • you can book through expedia.com.au, if you happy to book via credit card ($12.50 pp) then the ticket cost is the same as paying direct

  • Got it, $750 each inc. food, luggage, seats 24 J/K and get QF points, aircraft might be swapped for 787 by then who knows.

  • Once JQ sales have reached OzBargain it's too late : )

  • Booked MEL - HNL for 4 after trying and timing out several times but went through smoothly just now.

  • Anyone know if there are any Brisbane to Honolulu seats left for sale?

    • Dates would help… Also if the JQ website is still too slow, try expedia to look for fares.

      • +1

Pretty much any times, buy first and ask for time off later.

I think that's how it works here. XD

  • This is as f***ing bad as Catch of the Day! After 5 hours of trying I have not been able to complete a single purchase

    • +1

dude use expedia.com.au as i stated above

      • Thanks. Worked with no problems.

  • think they need to fire up more servers with their cloud provider to support this sale :P

  • Was still able to grab the cheap fares through another booking site. I tried Sky Scanner for one of the flight dates and it showed the sale fare and I managed to book through Expedia. Try that if the Jet Star site doesn't work for you :)

  • I couldnt get their web site to work last night, and didnt feel like paying a booking fee (using Mastercard debit).
Ended up using their mobile site and it worked without issue… So try mobile.jetstar if you have issues with their regular site

Why oh Why does anyone want to fly with this terrible airline? Unless you are less than 5ft. tall your trip will end with leg cramps. Also be prepared to have to pay for everything on board - even water! - what other airline won't even give passengers a glass of water!? The cabin staff need training in customer relations & their marketing department need to address the uniform worn by the cabin crew who unfortunately look as if they've just stepped out from a supermarket check-out. Flew once with them - never again

    • Why oh Why does anyone want to fly with this terrible airline?
because as a cheap point a to b airline they are better than Tiger and usually slightly cheaper than virgin

Ill bring my own water to save $ ;)

      • You won't beable to take water or any liquids on board. They will be taken off you at embarkation.
Even Virgin have improved their customer service& Yes-are marginally more expensive- however do site searches for the best flight deals.

        • You won't be able to take water or any liquids on board

you most certainly can, as long as they are purchased post security check…..

        • Domestically you're allowed to bring liquids through security and onto the plane. Except for hot beverages.

Internationally, while you can't bring any decent quantity of liquids through security, as SBOB has stated, you can buy drinks post security and bring them on board. Again just as long as they're not hot beverages.

    • Not sure what JQ flight you've been flying on but I fly JQ a fair bit domestically and they're fine. Just don't expect too much (ie a seat to put your bum on to get from A to B) and you'll find it decent. As for water I've yet to be denied a free glass of water on JQ.

As for cabin staff I've had crews that were boarder line unfit to fly, do nothing but chat or run around like headless chicken not knowing what to do. I've also had crews that excel and at times better than QF.

Uniform? Each to their own I guess. I see no bad about JQ's uniform other than for the eye killing orange, but it's their color, what can I do about that?

  • Price, but pay for the extras, $750 SYD/HNL/SYD is so cheap, like may we use the QF lounges both ways and get FF points to boot.

    • Do you have business class or gold cards? If not there is no access to the lounges.
Have you flown with this airline before to experience the lack of leg room? Our trip was from Perth to Singapore (5.5 hrs.)Yours sounds as if will take a lot longer. At the end of the day price isn't everything when you're planning a special trip - shop around.

      • Do you have business class or gold cards? If not there is no access to the lounges.

        Plat.

      • +1

Their international A330 setup actually has 31 inches of legroom. You know who else has 31 inches?

Petty much everyone. Qantas, Lufthansa, British Airways, American Airlines, Delta, United.

The Perth-Singapore run is made (from my knowledge) on an A320, the same planes which go from Brisbane to Sydney, doing short domestic hops. Next time you book, check what plane your on, because the A320 is about right for 1-2 hours. But it was your own mistake that got you on that sort of plane for 5 hours.

  • I try and get an exit seat, but even when in business must be front on that aircraft, if not with other seats little space left behind if seat all way back.

Rumour is by the time we go again to HNL the new 787 will be on that route SYD/HNL/SYD I hope so.

  • A small winge about Jetstar. I have just experienced them acting more like AirAsia. Pulling booked flights as they reconfigure their number of flights, times & destinations. I booked 6 months ago at a really good price, nice and relaxed afternoon flights Syd - Adl - Syd. Now they notify me that both of my flights have been 'rescheduled' to a lot earlier in the days (less relaxed for me with long trips to the airports) When I ring to move my booking, I can only move the flight to one flight before my original flight, or one flight after my original flight(early the next day). and so either I take really early flights (not relaxed for me) or I can cancel & refund & rebook at CURRENT prices. Luckily they have another sale on, but still not as cheap as before. Ok so I have the refund available, but the really good sale price is long gone. Buyer beware. But their phone customer service is quite good, and it is easy to talk with an operator.(unlike AirAsia)

  • Darwin - Manila, Philippines return in November, total of AU$218 (carry-on baggage only). Good deal?

    • *(20kg baggage + 10kg cabin baggage)

  • Used this in conjunction with the cheap flights from Tokyo - Goldcoast to get a pretty good price coming home from Japan during peak season
