By signing up, you shall receive instant Silver status, however if you stay at a Hilton property 4 times within the next 90 days (after signup up for this offer) you will receive Gold status… which entitles you to brag mates about how much of an elite VIP you are, or stand over an employee's head in a tyrant DYKWIA rage when you did not receive a complimentary upgrade after being told there is no availability.

Silver normally takes 4 stays or 10 nights and gold takes 20 stays/40 nights/75,000 base points within a calendar year.

    thanks but the Accenture bit takes the sheen of this one…unless they are not going to cross-check which I think would be the case

      Sorry about not mentioning that… they do not cross check (which is why I posted it here). You will receive Silver status instantly and Gold after 4 stays. I received used this promo (not an Accenture employee and normally stay with Starwood) and have been upgraded to gold.

    Keep in mind you only get benefits and points from Hilton if you book directly.

    That rules out a lot of discount rates.

      Sometimes you can contact the hotel beforehand and get them to associate your HHonors number with your booking. You won't get points if you don't book directly, but some hotels will (at their discretion) still give you your status benefits. I've done this a few times at Conrad Singapore and Conrad Hong Kong; I still received the main Diamond benefits even though the booking wasn't done directly with Hilton. YMMV. :)

      I just joined and it's Silver. But I need 10 more stays to maintain Silver for 2014.

      Only gave me Blue status as well. Also tried entering in the new membership details on the page in OP's link but it says I've already registered, alas still only Blue.
