  • Just in time for GTA:V

  • how about for PS4?

    • +1

Stores received paperwork from headoffice a couple of weeks ago saying KMart is yet to confirm their ranging the PS4, doesn't mean their not, it's just not confirmed yet.

  • Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation 16GB for $169 on page 29 seems like a good price…

  • Not bad, 579 with FIFA 14 (free day1 bonus for uk, aus and a few european countries)

    • -1

Just be warned, FIFA 14 is a pack-in for 'Day One' Editions only, and this isn't being advertised as such. For all we know, they are 'pre-ordering' based on what should be off the shelf stock, meaning you'd miss out on FIFA.

      • +1

All pre-orders, not just "Day One" editions. http://www.xboxworld.com.au/home/2013/09/05/xbox-one-pre-ord…

"The FIFA 14 bundle offer will be available to all those Australians who have pre-ordered an Xbox One Day One edition console as well as any further pre-orders of the Xbox One console, while stocks last."

        • Sweet that it's for all pre-orders, but you'd think Kmart would advertise the free game anyway. I dunno, but it might be worth asking when you do pre-order.

        • +4

The pre-orders through Kmart will come with the Fifa 14 digital token, they haven't advertised it but it is mention on the paperwork each store received.

Also pre-orders need to be done at the lay-by counter and not the entertainment or service desks starting Thursday.

        • Thanks for that. Sounds like a good idea!!

  • was thinking of buying ps3 and gta 5. cant hold off now.

Nothing beats PS3 with the video from Netflix/Tunlr and Servio/Plex/PS3 Media Server. It's basically the cost of a decent Android tablet with bluetooth/wifi capabilities that comes with a free wireless controller and can play blu-ray discs. The newer models seem to have more reliable optical drives even if they do seem really flimsy.

An actual PC running xbmc, media centre mine has 4 tuners plays even "protected" rips my ps3 won't play, region free bluray hulu plus, Netflix, iview, BBC ect.

        • True, but you'd struggle to find one for $180 ;)

  • Hiii is this the slim version???

    • +3

Yep, this one's so slim you can see the ribs.

      • +1

        that is too revealing

  • How are Ps3's like in general seems like the current gen consoles have many issues that kill them unlike previous gens.
is this slim ps3 a good build? does it come with a HDD converter to install a HDD myself?

    Should I buy a used PS3 instead?

  • Used ps3 slim will cost ya around the same price. If it just to play games a new one is the best option

    • pretty much to just play games. Would be cool if it could serve as a media center but I have plans for a Windows box for that at some point too.
Or maybe I should just wait for the Ps3 Price crash from the PS4 release.
It's not like it matters how soon I get it.

  • Is the PS3 Super Slim a good deal at $179? I haven't been following PS3 prices- this is for a mate. Thanks!

    • +1

There was a deal at Target a few months back that had it as an online special for a weekend at $179 plus one of the Uncharted games, or Ratchet and Clank or something. I held back as I already have a ps3 and Uncharted, but probably should have grabbed it and sold the game.

I’m tempted by this deal anyway – could use a second unit – I’m sure my wife would love the idea of a ps3 in the bedroom…

        Tell her it's a Bluray player :)

I just got JBHiFi to price match this deal with the added bonus being that I could still exercise some of the bundle deal pricing (a selection of cheaper games and accessories) so I got Injustice: Gods Among Us for an extra $14 on top of the $179

  • Just picked one up from Kmart east gardens (NSW). Plenty of stock left according to staff

  • +1

Got one from Kmart at Stanhope and the HDD mount for $11 at JB HIFI, installed a 500GB hard drive from work. Just in time for GTA V and The Last of Us. Plus I can now actually use my PS+ subscribtion.

    • what hdd did you end up getting??

  • is this a slim or supa slim ps3?

    • Super Slim like all new stock.
