I bought this and received it, write speed is < 15MB/s

      Hi marchi,

If you take a look at the description part, the write speed should be >10MB/s
Your write speed seems to be alright.

      Cheers
      Francesca

    • Specification: 48MB Sequential Read Speed, 10MB Sequential Write Speed

Says write speed is 10MB? I got 16Mb/s

      • Hi redpump,

The write speed should be at least 10MB/s
Having 16MB/s is a good result.

        Cheers
        Francesca

        lol 16 > 10 be happy!

        • +2

Lol, I am really happy. I was just replying to marchi who wasn't happy.

    • +2

That is correct. The rated 48Mb/s is read speed. Minimum 10Mb/s write speed is accurate, and this applies to writing a single or a few large size files. Often you can get faster than 10Mb/s write speed. If you write thousands of tiny few kilobytes files, the speed will be a lot slower. That is the fact, not a fault of the card.

Edit: Great timing for another sale. Just bought that Samsung 32Gb for I am planning to buy a car dashcam :)

  • I received mine from the previous post, works nicely on my 3DS :)

    • Thank you redpump =)

  • Really quick delivery from the last deal. Thumbs up

    • Thank you PlayerOne =)

    • +3

so you should - the Rep said they are very fast cards!

  • This might be a really dumb question - but if you use the microSD with the SD adapter, can you use it like you would normally use an SD in a camera? Will it write to the microSD, or is the adapter only for reading/copying the images later?

    • +1

      Hi tori,

Yes it will work just like a standard SDHC card in your camera.

      Cheers
      Francesca

      • +1

you can also stick in the microSD with its adapter into another 'SD to USB' adapter and it becomes a makeshift USB stick!

  • Will buy one for my Galaxy Note II.

    • +4

I might get one for my soon-to-arrive Note 3 !! (just showing off)

    • That is great edison702 =)

  • disappointing price on the 64gbs, should be $50 or less to be a "deal"

    • +1

      Hi furythree,

The SanDisk 64GB you are refering to?
My cost price for this model is > $50, currently this is the best price we can do.

      Cheers
      Francesca

  • Sorry, newbie question, does the Samsung 64GB micro SDXC Class 10 card come with a SD adapter? If not which 64GB cards on this deal have an adapter?

    • Hi marvin65,

All of our microSD cards goes out with a SanDisk adapter.

      Cheers
      Francesca

      • Thanks Francesca, ordered.

  • For MicroSD 64GB for mobile phone usage, which one is better? Samsung pro 70mb/s or Sandisk Ultra 30mb/s?

I know 70 is larger than 30 but what about 4k random writing speed?

Also, are they all Australian stock?

    • Hi icantwait,

For mobile phone, I would personally go for the Samsung card, as it is more reliable compare to SanDisk and the speed is double compare to SanDisk.
Faster reading speed is always better.
As for the 4k random write speed, both of them are very similar with SanDisk slightly higher.

      Cheers
      Francesca

      • Ordered. Thanks. All aussie stock right?

        • Hi icantwait,

          Thank you.
Yes we purchase them from local supplier.

          Cheers
          Francesac

        • there's no such thing as aussie stock, almost everything made in china, except your dairy farmers milk.

  • Hello,

May I know what is the difference between these two?

    Samsung 32GB micro SD Plus Class 10 48MB/s Memory Card - $25.95

    SanDisk 32GB Ultra microSD Class 10 UHS-I 30Mb/s Memory Card - $26.95

    • Hi chnach,

Difference between the 2 cards are their read speed.

      Samsung: read speed 48MB/s
      SanDisk: read speed 30MB/s

Both of them have write speed of at least 10MB/s

      Cheers
      Francesca

hi francesca, i talked to u 2x times already over the phone.
You have promised that you will resend the replacement micro SD card. I haven't received it till now!!

    • Hi raptoor23,

Sorry I couldn't recall, however there was one customer who phoned and I believe I promise to resend it via registered mail, not sure if it was you?
If you can PM me your order number, I will follow up on it.

      Thank you
      Francesca

  • Jeez I just bought a Samsung 32GB micro SD Plus 2 days ago for $31
Can we do anything about that for regular customer Francesca? :)

    • Hi sirs2k,

Prices for memory cards are very volatile. Unfortunately I can't do much for you.
This is my last batch of Samsung 32GB plus for offer, which I had locked in at a cheaper price compare to market price.

      Cheers
      Francesca

That's okay, well I just bought another

        • Thank you.

  • Can you give a good deal on the SanDisk SDHC 45mb/s? :)

    • Hi gembel,

      What capacity are you after?
The SanDisk Extreme SDHC @ 45MB/s is an End of life model already.
Currently SanDisk is upgrading them to a 80MB/s SDHC as in the link below:

      http://www.sandisk.com.au/products/memory-cards/sd/extreme-u…

Therefore, my last batch of stocks are limited.
Please PM me the capacity you are after and I will see that I can do for you.

      Cheers

The SD card adapter sucks. It did not last one day before it was broken.

    • Hi BobGao,

I am sorry to hear that.
Broken as in, it can no longer read or has it physically damaged?
Please PM me your order number and I will resend the adapter to you.

      Thank you
      Francesca

      • The SD card adapter has very poor quality.
The tiny plastic switch for write protection is very lose, which means, it can freely slide up and down when the card is inserted into laptop or camera. So sometimes the card can not be used because it is protected, and sometimes if you are lucky, it can be used.
I would say this is the worst SD card adapter I have ever seen.

        • Hi BobGao,

          Thank you for clarifying that.
We order SD adapters in bulk, this time we order 500 units of them, there is a chance that it will be faulty.
Can you PM me your order number, I will arrange to test the adapter to make sure it is good before sending off to you.

          Cheers
          Francesca

That does not call for a neg vote.

Did you email them when you had the problem? Mem city have excellent customer service when I deal with them. Its not their fault if you are too lazy to help yourself.

      • Thank you Saiya.

  • Does the SAMSUNG 64GB MICRO SDXC CLASS 10 PRO comes with SD adapter?

    • Hi zan123,

Yes it does comes with a SD adapter.

      Francesca

      • Can you do a better deal for the samsung 64gb pro?

This retailer has it for the same price? and they're based in Sydney too.

        http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=406910

        • Hi zan123,

They have a shipping charge of $3.95 which adds up to $69.90
I will not be able to match the price @ $65.95 with free shipping as I ship them via registered post to make sure they don't go missing in the mail.
          Sorry about that mate.

          Cheers
          Francesca

        • How does your warranty works for samsung card? is it 10yrs replacement warranty? from Samsung or from your store?

        • Hi zan123,

Warranty back to us, as Samsung current does not cover warranty in their service centre.
It will be a direct swap for a new card on our end if we receive faulty units.

          Cheers
          Francesca

        • Thanks just ordered one.

        • Thank you =)

  • francesca what is the warranty on a 64 gb microsd card?

    • Hi Johnster,

SanDisk 64GB microSD : Limited Lifetime warranty from SanDisk
Samsung 64Gb microSD : 10 years limited warranty from Samsung, but currently not available in their service centre.

It will always be best to return to us for warranty, as we do a direct one to one swap with customer.

      Cheers
      Francesca

  • I Just ordered a raspberry Pi - can anyone tell me if the "Samsung 16GB micro SD Plus Class 10 48MB/s Memory Card - $16.95" card will be OK to use as the SD card to run the OS off of? i think the OP said that it comes with a SD card adapter?

i'm planning on using the Raspberry Pi to make a media center to run off my wireless network so i don't need too much storage.

    • Hi Roger Engelbretson,

I am not too familiar with that specific mode, will have to check on it.
      Will get back ASAP.

      Thank you
      Francesca

    • Hi Roger,

Checked, it will be fine for you to use the device as a media centre.
You will need the card and the SD adapter. The Raspberry PI can support Samsung 32GB microSD

      Cheers
